none of us really know who the next manager will be IF Rodgers was to be sacked. let's look at a few names mentioned before and my personal opinion on whether they would come or not.

Klopp- several clubs in better circumstances have looked at him e.g Napoli. he's not been approached yet but i'd think he would come.

De boer- latest from ed2 is he thinks he's likely to stay so i will rule him out for now.

Schmidt- done brilliantly with Leverkusen and now in champs league. After being there a year i wouldn't expect him to leave. They have more funds better players and champions leaguebto play.

Favre- again like Schmidt done fantastic with monchengladbach and in champions league. don't expect him to move at all.

Ancelotti- a no go and wants time off is what I've read unless he goes to city maybe.

Rafa- answers itself

Unai Emery- done brilliantly with sevilla and into the champions league. Wanted by some big clubs but i'd defo go for him if available. Fantastic manager.

Avb- ed2 mentioned that avb told someone he wouldn't want it so i'd rule him out.

Jorge Jesus- done fantastic with Benfica after the players they've sold. if he was available i'd look at him aswell.

So in summary my 3 to look at would be:-
Klopp, Emery, Jesus

No doubt none of these will get it haha

{Ed002's Note - Interesting that you have chosen to ignore Julen Lopetegui and Bob Bradley.}

Agree4 Disagree2

Lopetegui and Bradley have even less experience than BR at the highest level

{Ed001's Note - international management is the highest level and he has plenty of experience of that.}

I'd suggest that's an outmoded view and that the highest level is now club football, but that's just my opinion

{Ed001's Note - you would be wrong, whether I like it or not, and I really dislike international football, it is the highest level of the game. It is a fact, not an opinion. Now you could question whether managing USA and Egypt is in the top bracket, which they probably are not, but they are at the highest level.}

You could argue managing Liverpool is a harder job than managing Egypt or USA ed001.
Bigger egos, mixed cultures/beliefs, language barriers, brutal press interviews, overly optimistic fans.
I would rather as a manager be managing USA, they always seem professional (for footballers).

{Ed001's Note - never said anything about which was easier, nor do I see the relevance to the point being made mate. Club football is always going to be more difficult, you have to manage 365 days a year in club football, international football is only a few months a year. International football is still the highest level though.}

Sorry ed didn't know about them. Interesting shout the porto manager. Not too keen on bradley myself. Has galtier been considered of st ettiene?

{Ed002's Note - I am not getting in to any detail at all - I have explained that the club has been advised about some possible options should the circumstances arise that they need a new manager. I am aware of someone being suggested that won't happen. I have also explained that there are also a couple of others that should not be discounted.}

Eds what about managers like Gourvennec and Galtier whose dream club is LFC?

THANKS

{Ed002's Note - What about them.}

Bradley Ed? That's interesting. I just know him from his time coaching the U.S. You think highly of him?

{Ed002's Note - They are just names, there is little point speculating whilst Liverpool has a manager.}

Any interest in Julen Lopetegui Ed002 or just a random name? I was going to mention him earlier in the season seemed to be playing great attacking football at Porto

{Ed002's Note - They are just names, there is little point speculating whilst Liverpool has a manager.}

A friend of mine knows a player who currently plays for Bob Bradley at Staebek, and the player can't stop praising Bradley. Personally, I think Bradley is not the right choice.

What Bradley has done with Stabæk is out of this world. Stabæk was a first division club with a real chance of going under. After Bradley came in, they now look like a title contender, playing beatiful football and also attracting players. But there is some leap from Stabæk to LFC of course.

We need the right manager and not just a new one.
