Ed001 life is not all about football so I just wanna ask how you're friend is doing?

{Ed001's Note - thanks mate, he is ok, I had to go and get FIFA earlier so I can play it with him. Hopefully it will cheer him up laughing at how awful I am like we used to before I moved out here. He used to come round and we would end up playing all night, as team mates, it was so much fun even though I am rubbish and he has to carry me. He has a lot of thinking to do about his future, so hopefully a good laugh will help him deal with things.}

Good old Fifa.

{Ed001's Note - I am not a big fan of it myself, it has yet to reach the heights of Sensible Soccer, but it is a laugh when played with someone else.}

Sorry Ed hadn't heard about your friend, whatever it is I sincerely hope he's better soon

A fellow sensible soccer man! Youve gone up in my estimation! Always liked being the crisps team lol!

Hope it all works out for him mate. I missed the post you put up regarding him if you did put one up that is.

My own father got lung cancer a few years ago so I know how tough illness can be in someone that you love and care about. One opperation and many months in hospital added to a few (5) years of remission and he is back to himeself cancer free, giving out about the shambles the epl is and how much of a superior league the German league is in comparison.

Anyway that's, I suppose the perspective of someone who has been through the bad times and is back in the good times. Hopefully this shows that things don't always end up worst case scenario. Pass on my regards, and keep his head up he needs people around him that as you said will just act normal, play some Xbox/PlayStation and talk about the good days. Oh and aslo give you stick for being rubbish lol

{Ed001's Note - he got through bowel cancer, so hopefully he can get through leukemia and skin cancer too. Though I keep telling him he is just attention seeking now getting a 3rd type of cancer.}

Fifa gets worse every year ed. I doubt you will love it anytime soon.

{Ed001's Note - they just need to stop throwing it out each year and take a gap to work on actually making an improved product.}

Wishing your friend all the best Ed. A colleague of mine is fighting leukaemia at the moment.

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate, all the best for your colleague.}

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger Ed, so warm wishes to your friend, hope he'll feel great sometime soon! Is he a fan of our great club too?

{Ed001's Note - sadly no, he is a Mancunian and supports the red side of that particular city. Poor bugger is suffering enough having to watch LVG's team.}

all the very best for your mate ed, i have lost three people i loved dearly to cancer this year so hope and pray your mate keeps on fighting

{Ed001's Note - so sorry to hear that mate, my condolences, and thank you very much for your well wishes.}

I wish your friend all the best ed.

Me mam had cancer last year and it's not easy to deal with but he can get through it with lots of support. My advice is that he gets treatment at the Royal Marsden if possible, as they are a really good hospital.

Best wishes.

{Ed001's Note - thank you very much, I don't think he has any option to go there though, I know he will be set to have his bone marrow transplant, if he has it, at Bristol. All the best to your mam, I hope she gets the all clear.}
