The Guardian are reporting that they have had confirmation from within Shakhtar Donetsk that the club have entered negotiations for Teixeira and that Liverpool are the only club to have made an approach so far.
{Ed002's Note - That is incorrect. Five bids (two formal submissions and three verbal) from four clubs have been made to Shakhtar since November and each has been rejected as Mr Akhmetov does not want to sell the player at this time. The clubs are Chelsea, Juventus, PSG and I understand Liverpool.}

i think he'll end up at your beloved chelsea ed, seems there are interesting times ahead for them a lot of in's and out's in the summer plus a new manager, interesting to see the line up next august.

i know you hate talking money ed, but how much is wanted for him, you informed us that liverpool paid far more than anyone wanted to for firmino, plus his cost can still rise.

Hi eds02 do you know if they are looking for straight cash or could a player be thrown into the deal? Thinking maybe Markovic? (Though that may be impossible with his current loan deal)

Quick question ed, if you don't mind. Are clubs aware of an amount that other clubs bid for a player (for example, did Liverpool know how much Chelsea offered)? If yes, why would someone offer less than something that was decline already?

I go with ED02 on this one, Chelsea might walk away leaving it to PSG and Liverpool. Chelsea might try one last time for Grizemann.

When I read the posts on this site, I kind of have a picture of what I think people look like. For some reason ED002 is a cross between Gram Parsons and Jerry Garcia. Have probably built myself up for a big disappointment! (I obviously look like Kate Bush) .

I've met many people over the years (particularly in Brighton) who tried to convince me that they were on the road with the Yardbirds. If Ed002 told me that, I would believe it.
