ive just been reading the posts and something jumped out of the pages and hit me, while all the posts are saying the same thing really as in we need a rebuild and new players again for this position and that position or this player is not good enough or that player is not good enough or we should play this formation or that formation with a quick tempo or a slow tempo, well you all know what i'm saying because i'm just repeating what's been posted on these pages and i have to agree with them all but no one has mentioned the coaches, now i don't know if people will agree with me but i think the coaching system or the coaches need changing because to be honest we have had everything that's been posted as in we have had all these players who come to us and they don't play like they did for their last club look at lovren or benteke they played good for their last clubs that's why we bought them and when we bought them we all hoped and said they would play like they did and that they were good buys, also we have tried different systems and formatioms and we are still inconsistent and the results are not good enough and the players are not playing to their best, and to me the only thing that has not changed is the coaches, now i know the gk coach has been talkes about and i read in the liverpool echo why he has been kept its because of his work ethic now look at our gk he has gone from bad to worse, so to me its got to be the gk coach he mught have a good work ethic but it does not mean he is a good gk coach, I've looked back and in my opinion the rot started when rafa was here, before anyone jumps on my back i'm not blaming rafa because under him we played very well up until Packo left and once he left we started a slow downhill process, i even remember a report saying the players were in bits when he left and i think they have never got over it because he was that good, one player who was gutted and up set that he had left was stevie g, maybe in his autobiogrphy he has said something about it but i remember the reports about Packo's
leaving and the players being up set so is the answer to our form and us playing better down to the coaches now i don't know if it is maybe the edds will know better than me but if our gk coach got kept on and mingolet has not got better it should point to the gk coach i even think the gk coach came in when pepe reina was the keeper and even his form went down the banks, so maybe its not the players or the manager but the coaches that need changeing because they are the ones that have remained and our form has been bad, we will know if the gk coach stays and we get a new keeper and the new keeper does not play that well or he does not play as good as he did before he came here, that's if we get a new keeper ,

one way to look at it is if you look at sterling, i know not a popular subject but has he played better since he left us, is he more consistent, do the players on loan play better, i don't know if i'm right but its worth looking into because we have some really good players and to me we have one of the best coaches in europe, it took him 3 seasons i think for him to win the title in Germany with dortmund so it show he knows what he is doing once he has his players, the type of players he wants for the system he wants to play only time will tell if i'm right but i know this and that is when we buy a player one of my 1st thought is if he is going to play as good as he did at his old club or if he will keep his form up.

Klopp changed the coaches when he came in, remember Gary Mac and Sean O'Driscoll? They had only recently taken over from the previous coaches.

I don't think we need another change, the manager picks the coaches.

Not to jump on you about this, but I have mentioned a change in coaching staff a couple of times lately - but that only means I think we agree it could do with some attention.

We ended last season with Rodgers coaches, started this season with O-Driscoll and Macca, and now we've got Klopps coaches, at no point has the football really got better, so no, I don't think it's about the coaching staff,

ron we still have the same gk coach, maybe i should have said specialised coaches like achtaberg, and sorry bazzaa mate i have not read your posts but at least we agree, i think it would not harm the gk if we changed the gk coach, i'm just trying to find out why we are so inconsistent and lose games we should win and why some players have not got better when they should have done,

And breathe.

No worries mbrock99 - That would be one that needs a look at first off.
It is hard to say if it coaches, lacklustre performances or some players not making the grade - maybe a mix of all this. I can see why managers get big salaries these days.

GK coach is completely different matter.

A coaching change is unlikely to yield quick results.
Klopp's coaches will need time.

Why are we inconsistent?
Management changes effect consistency, you need to give them time to become consistent. Injuries effect consistency. Annual widespread changing of playing staff breeds inconsistency.
Why do we lose games we should win? A poor goalkeeper who let's simple shots in doesn't help and we lack organisation at set pieces. We also lack confidence and fitness.

Klopp's coaches will address fitness and set piece organisation. Klopp will boost confidence as long as results come. A new goalkeeper will boost confidence.
It will take time to get consistency, when you are heading in the right direction all you have to do is keep going. Changing direction is not necessary.

Thanks Ron, good to get general constructive opinions.
I think Klopp is class and hope to see things turn around with consistent performances, but was not expecting much out of this season due to changes. Realistically I am expecting to see improvements next season - not entirely down to new players coming in, but pre-season with Klopp and the squad.

Totally agree Bazaa, I hope all our players return from Euros and Copa America quickly and team Klopp can get to work on them.
I'm hoping for similar results to Pochetino at Spurs. His first season was settling in and implementing changes and now the team are showing their ability.

Didn't actually read the first post. My eyes got tired trying to find a full stop in what I believe was the longest sentence ever written.

How you can say sterling has improved is beyond me? or are you looking at his bank balance?

01 Mar 2016 22:52:42
Burkeyboy LMAO.

Ron's post pretty much nailed it.
