He tore into him on the pitchside and Benteke walked off mid-conversation.

That could be the straw that broke the camels back then for benteke.

Yep, seems as though it's end of the road for Ben and Klopp, as it may well be (as most people are actually hoping after yesterday's shambles) for Skirts and Klopp too.

yes klopp had a go at benteke for missing an easy chance, but to be fair he is a proffesional striker that should have scored that chance also we paid a lot of money for him and god knows how much he is getting paid in wages and bonuses, so i think klopp was right to have a go, shearer and murphy said he should have done it in the dressing room, why benteke soes not play football in the dressing room he plays on the pitch, and after just watching the highlights on MOTD2 i don't think skertal won one header, after he came on the defence was in disarray, he should have had a go at skertal as well though, i think its terrible and way out of order the way these players get payed so much money for playing so bad, if i went to work and done my job as bad as sketal done his i would be sacked, also its just boils down to the fact that RKs subs worked out were as JKs did not, because allen was no match for wyama and mane scored 2 goals with his weaker foot i think, maybe if he moves clubs he will be happier beacuse the way he looked after the game you would have thought he had lost not that he scored 2 goals which one of them was the winner for them if he stays in the prem next season i'm going to do him to finish top scorer because if he can score 2 goals on his weaker foot and be un happy then just imagine him playing with confidence and happy he will score goals where ever he goes.

BTW, I would be absolutely gobsmacked if Klopp recruited Yaya. The only possible reason is to be able to recreate the 'show' from Gerrard's trip to Dubai on the terraces, and only then if we offer Kolo an extension! I would much rather see Alonso than Yaya. Yaya in no way would fit into the Gegenpressen style.

{Ed001's Note - which show are you referring to? Because Gerrard made a real show of the club and himself, and most particularly his family while out here. I am quite sure that would be best not recreated on the terraces....}

Lol, ed001, I was talking about the video clip of the whole squad doing the "Yaya Toure/ Kolo Toure" chant last summer. Looked like fun, although was slightly off putting given we'd lost 6-1 to Stoke only a couple of days before! I certainly wasn't in the mood for celebrating anything for at least a week after THAT game!

{Ed001's Note - I have been trying to forget that. That was embarrassing on the back of a hiding. They should have been skulking off with sheer shame, like most of us fans who had to cope with the stick we got each day. Footballers need a real life, instead of being so pampered.}

Ed001 think Zed's referring to the yaya/ kolo song that Gerrard led whilst over there.

I've heard Souness refer back a couple of times lately to the need for players to take responsibility for their performances. They get away with everything. In his days at Liverpool the senior players in the squad would have held council and told it like it is after a performance like that. Can you imagine the Liverpool of old with Souness in it doing stupid chants like that hours after getting stuffed 6-1?
It's a sad state of affairs and shows the mindset within the squad. The fact the "leader" was front row centre doing the chant summed up that squad completely and explains how they lost the league the season before.
There's no true leaders in that squad in my mind. A couple of younger players with potential to be but none of note in my eyes. I wouldn't look at any of them men and say they inspire me whatsoever.

{Ed001's Note - I agree completely. It is nice seeing them altogether as a group but not right after a 6-1 demolishing at the hands of an entirely average (at the time) Stoke side.}

This may be unfair but why would Toure come to us unless we were paying more than anyone else? He's not going to win more with us than at City and there would surely be other clubs with more chance of success than us who'd take him if they're really finished with him.

For me the issue with the "celebration" isn't that they're together or enjoying themselves, it is that no one in the set up had the common sense to realise that this would get into the wider world and the impression it gave. For people who live so much of their lives on social media footballers generally can be extremely dense about how quickly and easily things like a fan reaction can build and spread these days.

ed001 your spot on about footballers getting a real life and being pampered because now they have gone on holiday to tenerife after getting beat by southampton,

{Ed001's Note - nothing wrong with that, if it is to knuckle down and work on it, but they are hidden away from real life pressures most of their career, even in the youth system. Which is why so many fall apart the moment they are subjected to a bit of adversity.}

21 Mar 2016 19:32:42
I don't want Yaya, he's too inconsistent and only plays when he can be bothered.
Not a "Klopp player" IMO.

Ed 001. Are we allowed to ask what show Gerrard done that was so bad in Dubai?

{Ed001's Note - I don't believe I can say, unfortunately. It was very public over here though.}

22 Mar 2016 04:43:50
shall we just say actions not befitting those of the club captain and leave it at that eh ed001?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, sounds good.}
