Can we just clarify that not all Liverpool supporters are the same. Everyone is entitled to there own opinions and those opinions are always varied.
You have the fans who see the negative and single out players and management for critisism. This then feeds anxiety from general fans, fans at the game which then feeds to players and affects players performance.
You then have the less negative fans who will be frustrated by players performance and some management decisions but ultimately will stick by them. These fans can also see who, let's say, the weak links are but still they support and hope that with some decent coaching could improve there ability.
You should always support your club, your players and the staff until someone with authority at the club says that they can no longer do the job.
I would like to ask the more negative fans if they think the anxiety you put on the team to perform is helpful or not? I for one get so frustrated when watching our team and this anxiety affecting performance. I get even more frustrated at fans who constantly whinge like a 2 year old about players and management. You guys are the problem, not the team, not the staff. If you can do better, get those boots on or start gaining your qualifications.

Or Xabi, you have the fans who have an agenda against Klopp, FSG and/ or "insert player here" who are actually rooting for us to lose every time so as to justify why either/ all the parties mentioned above are crap. They are not interested in the hard work required to get us all to the promised land. The call themselves supporters BUT know NOTHING about what that actually means. Pessimists CANNOT be supporters as they believe in Murphy's Law so why bother if all we go wrong in the end? We support cos we are optimists and believe that hope will bring a better tmrw.

I'm not even sure these fans know what they are moaning about. They just moan cos a lot of people around them do it and then they start saying before games "I know we will lose this game". If you are so sure of that, why the H do you even bother watching? So when we do lose, you can say you were right? Will you being right about us losing help us win a trophy, the PL or get CL?

They go on social media posting disgusting and vile comments about players, the manager and FSG, all in the name of "I have the right to an opinion". If you are here or on social media to post vile and unfounded lies against manager, player or owners, that is NOT an opinion. That is abuse and verbal assault except you are as vile as your comments demonstrate. Constructive criticisms and logical arguments are always welcome BUT let us always remember what unites us: The success of LFC. That should be HOME for all our fans.

Shanks dealt with such fans in his time and he was right when he said, "If you can't support us when we lose, don't support us when we win". He was right then and till the end of time, he will STILL be right.

{Ed025's Note - good post that mate..

The problem is you also have fans that want to deflect the issues from certain people and act as if anyone that questions things is a 'negative fan' and judge them as being 'not real fans'. They are just as bad as the super negative ones, I'd like to think that most fans are balanced and understand that there's a time and a place for support and criticism. A lot of those fans admit Klopp (for example) does make mistakes, but then when you point out those mistakes in a constructive manner, they call you negative and say you shouldn't question the manager as if you know better. It's insulting people's intelligence. If fans are accompanying their criticism with outrageous BS then yes, those fans are a problem and are the problem with modern football, but the same goes to the other side who think certain people can do no wrong as if a double standard exists. Be constructive in your support and your criticism and that should apply to anyone employed by the club, because they come and go, we stay forever.

{Ed025's Note - some good points there Kman..

Two great posts and both absolutely bang on. Every fan gets frustrated and screams at at the TV but as you say kman if criticism is constructive then that's completely acceptable. Unfortunately as N red pointed out, with modern day social media as big as it is, the bashing does get to the players and it is so noticeable during games. Klopp has pointed this out many times. Some fans are destroying the club imo and it's becoming tiresome as we then get branded as the worst fans.

Spot on, Xabi. If Klopp sees that and is pointing this out then for sure the players see this too and it weighs on them. Majority of moaners have NEVER played the game nor played sports in general, IMO. If they did at a decent level like I did playing football, they would understand the intricacies of the game, what a manager considers when they make decisions and from there, draw an opinion based on logic and rational reasoning. You don't have to agree with a manager's decision but you can understand it if you think it over critically. Good luck with the FIFA type fans we have here in modern day football.

Kman and I have had discussions in the past and have aired areas where we disagree on approach to how LFC can get better under Klopp BUT we both want what's best for LFC and not one time has Kman asked for Klopp's sack. Pointing out the mistakes is no problem as many know what they are. What I like many, do not like is using his mistakes to trash him as if he's not allowed to make any to begin with. All I want is fairness in criticism, with the hope that he will learn from his mistakes, some of which he has learnt.

Every manager is stubborn to some extent cos if they listened to everyone else's opinions and not believe in their core beliefs, they won't be as successful as they have become. It comes with the territory. Klopp is a good manager, he is not god and those who can't stand him being criticized constructively, then they need to grow up.
