I had to read through the rags this morning and I can't beleive some have got there hopes back up for VVD because of some report in the Mirrow suggesting that the player only wants to join Lfc. Total crap, as all papers are. It means nothing, move on everyone. We have messed it up, not happening, Saints won't deal with us again full stop!
Right at the start Ed001 said we have 4 CB's that Klopp wanrs and we still have them 4.
Lets not pretend a deal is still possible because of a rag trying to drum up some trade.

A deal is possible. If he puts in a transfer request Southampton will rethink. Why do you think we are not chasing other centre back targets?

Because as the man has posted we already have 4 CBs. VvD was deemed to be of the quality that would definitely improve us, hence the high price.

Jari, because we have 4 CB's. The number Klopp wanted. can't count Sakho as he wasnt in the team last season and will be leaving. The rest stay. Klopp signed Matip and Klavan. Lovren and Gomez make the 4.

That bid wasn't a smokescreen, it was lowball numberwang, given that Chelsea had a £50m bid turned down last year and the Napoli owner is notoriously difficult to negotiate with. Not that I'm unhappy that it failed as I'm not convinced that Koulibaly is that good any way.
