Coutinhos a goner. I can't see him staying however he may on the off chance Barcelona don't massively pay up. Especially given what pogbas gone for and the prices this transfer market.
It will be a heavy blow. We needed a top class left back this summer and we signed Robertson. Also Losing our best player IMO never mind who else comes in will be massively disappointing.
I hope the little magician stays for another season.

Given how badly our play slowed down whenever it went to the fullback areas (Milner being on his wrong side and Clyne forgetting how to be a footballer) last season, particularly from January on, I honestly think Robertson at left back and TAA or Milner at right back has the potential to improve our side more than any other change we could've made, whether Robertson is "top class" or not.
He just needs to be a solid Premier League fullback who can use the ball intelligently and be better defensively than Moreno. I'm fairly sure he is that, but then again I expected similar from Clyne and he delivered it for about the first two months of his Liverpool career and then went backwards.
As for Coutinho, the only reason we still have him is that a club with the financial clout and regular European football haven't made a serious attempt to sign him yet. He's too good to be out of the Champions League for as long as he has been, and if Barcelona are serious, he's not going to want to wait a season to see are we going to become a major force in Europe again. There isn't an established player that we have a notional chance of signing who's as good, so unless our scouts unearth a hidden gem (and let's face it: our scouts probably won't), we're not going to get an individual talent like him.

Definitely LFC but possibly of the whole premier league. He cost £10m, you can't get a young first team player with premier league and international experience for that these days.

I have to say i agree with Ron.
I think a lot of people are going to be pleasantly surprised. To use the terminology most associated with our beautiful Brenda. the kid has heaps of character.
hes a no-bullshit type player, seems to have a positive attitude and I reckon he'll kick on a treat.
