In an interview on TV with an agent named Jon Smith he stated that when Sunderland were relegated they received £94million payment. How much for example do you think LFC would have received. It suggests to me that the TVs money means clubs who used to rely on selling players to survive no longer have to, hence some of the ridiculous fees.

Parachute payments are standard from Prem because of the wages they have to cover etc.
