It's getting pathetic mate. And that's me putting it kindly. Nobody is going to nominate a box to box midfielder filling in / trying to adapt at DM to play there in the best 25 man squad on earth. So why even bring him up; just to take a cheap shot? Matic, Casemeiro, Bender, N'Zonzi, Motta, Medel, Fabinho, Busquets, Wanyama and Demme are the level of holding midfielders we will be discussing. Hendo is a great player, and maybe even one of the better midfielders in the Premier League, but he is not a world class DM and won't get anywhere near this discussion.

Keep aside DM, I will see how many would include him in the CM list! You claimed by end of this season he would be inside top 5 holding midfielders.

In the Premier League mate. I said he has the potential to be one of the best in the Prem once he learns the role, once we have a more balanced midfield, and that in my opinion he would be by the end of the season. I never stated it as fact. It was my opinion/ prediction.
He nearly already is if we're limiting it to just the Premier league. Matic, Wanyama, Dier, Romeu, Fernandinho and Herrera are probably the only ones who i would have instead of him. Kante, Gueye and Can are all decent in that role, but rarely get shackled into it.
I really don't know what your problem is with Henderson mate. He is a decent DM progressively getting better at it, and a great box to box midfielder who has proven he can play in title challenging teams in that role. I'm not nor have i ever claimed he is one of the best in the world though. Nobody is. He just doesn't deserve to constantly be made into a scapegoat just because of bitter comments made by ex-managers who tried and failed to sign him, or the clueless failed managers who sit in the punditry studios.
If/ when we sign a proper DM, i still expect Henderson to start most games if he fully recovers from his heel injury or at least gets to a stage he can manage it. He is the captain, and our best centre midfielder for now who would in my opinion get into any other midfield in the Premier league except Man United, Man City or Tottenham. Although a couple of them are debateable considering Man United and Tottenham have tried to sign him in the past.
Of course, you know better than Dalglish, Rodgers, Klopp, Hodgson and Southgate who all pick/ picked him whenever he was fit. Or Alex Ferguson and Pochettino who both wanted to sign him 🙄 sure though, let's listen to Neville, Shearer and Le Tissier after their glittering careers in coaching and management.
Hendo is just the new Lucas. Supporters nowadays need someone to blame. He will always be picked by any managers who come and go because professionals paid to know what they are talking about rate him highly, but he will never be rated because the media and large proportions of the fans have made up their minds and refuse to credit him for anything good he does, and instead choose to discredit him for everything bad he does.
I can accept it if you simply don't rate him. I just don't want to read about it on every single, sometimes completely unrelated, thread! If you are expecting Liverpool to have a team of 11 world class players, you need to lower your expectations. No team in history has had that, and teams like Real Madrid who have tried it found out that actually, you need some less talented players like Pepe, Casemeiro and Benzema who will fight for it on off days. In fact what you then find is that players who many thought weren't good enough, when surrounded by more talented players, bring out the best in one another to the point where the less talented players actually become part of a world class team.
Henderson is not going to be the star. He is always going to be a team player. That is just the way it is mate. Maybe if you back him, he can be part of a successful team.

I haven't boxed since i had a bone graft on my right hand though. I reckon my finger would shatter 😂 they took nearly an entire section on bone out to remove a tumour and then filled it in with bone from my wrist. If I'm going to bust my hand though, I'd love it to be on Harrys chin, defending Henderson. I mean, err, for charity 👀.

doesn’t know how to play in the midfield! He is so limited with the ball and posses absolutely no attribute to play deep! He will be phased out once Kieta and a world clas

I honestly don't know how people can miss what he does, whether people think he is a "world class" footballer or not, the stick is just embarrassing. As a daily reader of this site for the past decade i would just like to add there are hopefully many more fans out there that quietly appreciate the efforts of quality such as henderson and continue to enjoy this site in the background. That said, Keep up the good debates guys. even those robbie savage impersonators, wouldn't be the same without you.

City who signed Otamendi, Demichelis, Stones, Mangala and Nastasic? Anyway Skrtel won our player of the year award when they tried to sign him. He looked very good in a deep defence alongside Carragher or Agger.
You have just cherry picked the best midfielders Klopp had at Dortmund anyway. Kehl, Kagawa, Großkreutz, Zidan, KP Boateng and many more midfielders who were just good players and far from world class also played under Klopp. You forget these things though mate because they don't suit your argument. Sahin wasn't all that either by the way. He had one good season and has never rebuilt his career since. He couldn't even look good in Real Madrid's midfield.
