Evening all!
Just been thinking about past players and who we could choose as the best ever! I know it's a difficult one because we've had some extremely incredible players but if you had to choose 3 who would make your top 3?
I'm just going to throw a few in, I could choose so many but my three : -
King Kenny
Robbie Fowler
Ray Clemence
Be interesting to see others but whilst I'm here speaking of Ray Clemence - the best
goalkeeper we've ever had IMO. Any chance of adding him to the legends list Ed001?

Best I've seen in my time watching? Gerrard, Torres and Alonso. All 3 were the best in the world in their respective positions for a period.
Suarez was awesome, but he was never quite as good as Lewandowski or Ibrahimovic. He is better than them now, but it's hard to know just how good he was with us because as a club we didn't give him a single opportunity to play at the highest level in Europe. A shame because than 13/ 14 side would've gone to at least the semi's in my opinion, but we can only speculate.
Gerrard, Alonso and Torres actually played for us against the very best sides, and we beat the likes of Milan, Madrid, Barcelona and co. Those 3 have to be in there for me.
Looking back before my time, Liddell, Dalglish and Fowler were all the best in their respective eras, so I'll go for them. Though it seems sacrilege to leave out Clemence, Nicol, Yeats, Hansen, Smith, Souness, Barnes, and Rush!

How about scouse players ed. Mcdermott, Case, Sammy Lee.
{Ed001's Note - I have added them to the list, though it seems strange to suggest Lee as a legend when he took a fair bit of stick while playing. There were a lot of people at the time who grumbled he only got picked because he was a Scouser.}

Yeah I love fowler but don't think he is in front of rush.

Left field choice for number three but let's be honest, there have been so many top players at the club over the years. I went for my favourite player from the era when I was a kid. Won everything did Mcmanaman and was brilliant to watch and brilliant for england.

Take out his appalling decisions as a manager- Souness
Complete midfielder - passing, scoring, tackling, motivating team mates
Let himself down massively as manager tho'
