It seems like our season is back on track again. 3 points this weekend will be a another welcome boost.

I am just happy we have a manager who is adept in Europe :-) and has not entirely struggled in the EPL which is one of the most difficult leagues to conquer.

City have built up quite a big lead but we are only 3 points off 2nd. Still loads to play for this season.

We just need to keep taking it game by game.

What really boggles the mind is weeks back Klopp's head was being called for
:-O.

Oh sorry, I forgot to add 1 point to my tally from 2nd. How could I!

See, has our season really been that bad? *Evil laugh*.

Hey Max I’m all for your optimism but surely you have to admit the goal keeping scenario is a joke and he still hasn’t gotten us two decent centre backs in the time he’s been here. I know I’ll get the whole “well you name two good centre backs” but that’s not my job. Klopp gets millions of pounds every year so he should have improved the defense. If he had there’s no doubt we would be significantly closer to City and I think would be serious challengers for the title.
Oh a positive Salah has been the outstanding buy and if he keeps it up will become our World class player and Klopps Best Buy.

Maxlfc. I think people were panicking which is understandable but no way anyone should of been calling for klopps head. In my opinion Naby keita wouldn't be signing next year if it wasn't for klopp. We are going in the right direction under klopp so we need to keep calm. Top 4 is a must in my eyes and I think we have the quality to do it. Fa cup would be a bonus and champions league would be greedy but one can wish.

"but surely you have to admit the goal keeping scenario is a joke and he still hasn’t gotten us two decent centre backs in the time he’s been here. "

Yet we are 4 points from Mourinho who plays with 11 defenders. Every manager has good and bad points. Even old Guardiola but let me tell you, we do not have the best squad in the League or CL but Klopp does not need the best squad even when our defence is not up to scratch.

Guardiola with our current squad at the top of the League? Ha ha.

Mourinho weeks back thought he was going to walk the League. Guess what, he ain't.

@ Mcgoveb

Just because screwed up the VVD deal does not mean VVD would have improved our defence if he did sign for us. Top CB's are hard to come by.

Guardiola did not go blow some obscene amount on any CB's this past summer when he knew he needed some too. Instead he went for attacking fullbacks went all out and broke transfer records attacking fullbacks and it has paid off for him ;-)

"Yet we are 4 points from Mourinho who plays with 11 defenders. "

I think you will find that United have outscored Liverpool with their 11 defenders, oh and also conceded 12 less goals. Maybe Klopp could learn a thing or two on how to score goals and not leak them at the same time?

Yes ManU have done well this year. I think they surprised many with how well they started the season off - Lukaku was on fire (as he is usually is against weak teams) . The purchase of Matic could well be the buy of the season in terms of how he has allowed the rest of his teammates to feel more free to attack. However the goals have dried up in their last 4 games which I know concerns my ManU mates. Its way too early in the season to be making conclusions yet. I would like our defence to be more solid (which they are showing signs of) but I would hate it if it comes with a style of footy that is dead boring to watch.

Outscored by two goals? Come on now.

Have you seen UTD lately Irish? It is not like Liverpool are sitting back and waiting for teams to score against us.

Mourinho wants to win the League yet comes to Anfield to see his players be ballet performers on the pitch.

And then will go on to say they deserved to win.

So if our season is back on track what will we need for it to be deemed a success come the end of it. For me it has to be a minimum of 4th and a trophy. The most likely trophy being FA cup. If we won the CL then that's a whole different kind of success. Is it too late for a title challenge already this season?

14 Nov 2017 17:37:21
FA is anybody’s cup! We have a chance like every other team. Top 4 is a minimum or he gets the sack! Ofcourse unless you are happy with mid table mediocrity!
