virg is in decline, but is klopp aware of it, do you know in the sense of is there talks to replace him?
For me, I hope virg won't be next seasons version of this seasons midfield. A player that should be moved on and central defence looking extremely vulnerable. His pace is completely gone to.

I thought he had lost a yard if pace but he looks like he's jogging now. He's definitely finished in the sense of he's never going back to the 2018/ 19 level.

Agree6 Disagree0

To be honest he's not been the same since Pickford tried to chop his leg off. He's still by far our best CB but he does seem vunerable at times.

I could be wrong, but it all looks mental. He still looks a great player, but there are times when he looks like he's just not interested. I don't know what's happening with him at the club or at home, but his performances look lazy of late. There are a few players guilty of putting in weaker effort this season, though, so he's certainly not alone in that.

He was massively at fault for spurs first goal. got done easily.

Looks mental to me too. And therefore worth figuring out.

Klopp saying the players will have about 3 weeks rest this offseason so let’s see if the rest does them good.

He was at fault Marty agreed but the biggest issue is the space vacated at the back, Konate in no mans land and Trent playing as an attacking midfielder. Virgil slipped ?‍♂️. We had 2 defenders at the back which is always going to cause issues.

He didn’t slip he was made fall over by movement of spurs player, time to move him on lost his pace but just as important has lost all effort and commitment.

Defence should’ve been the main priority this summer.
But the midfield neglect has set us back so far we’re just going to have to go another year with it.
A new defensive midfielder should help though.

Marty, I don't think it's only down to VVD. The problem started when Konate went to press in midfield and with Trent up the pitch in midfield, the ball gets clipped into space. That part is not VVD's fault.

Where his fault lies is he surprisingly over-committed cos we all know Perisic ain't got the legs to get past him. That part I found strange and that is his part of the blame, IMO. The overall blame goes to this system that continues to leave us even more vulnerable than we were which is saying something, IMO.
