Not sure if this has been said before but going forward the captain should hold the game ball until VAR has successfully been confirmed. Take the yellow. LFC would be well within their right to take that step and confirm decision was correctly confirmed. They can be polite and no aggressive behavior over it and essentially state it as it is. After the Spurs game we are ensuring things are communicated properly before play resumes.

Even if the captain is already on a yellow?

Rigsby if that’s the case then I’d say no, let the vice captain on the pitch do it.

What about if the vice captain also has a yellow?

Play to the whistle.
We were less than a minute away from getting a point at a top four rival away from home with nine men. They couldn't break us down and had to rely on a mistake from us to win.
We came from a goal down to win with ten men away from home at another top four rival.
We should keep showing that spirit.

Well, I can see where this is going.

Walking off and hanging onto the ball aren’t feasible solutions, it has to be something that is implementable and something we’d be happy to see other teams do.

I get the sense of injustice because of the decisions in the last game, but simplifIcation of the rules, improving decisions, and de-escalating the situation has to be the end goal, not making the game unplayable whenever someone doesn’t like an outcome.

Walking off the pitch will never be the answer. That would only make matters worse. The players on both sides could not have possibly known Diaz was onside. Don't even think Diaz could have been 100% sure. For me VAR is not the issue it is the people implementing it in Stockley Park. Surely they must be watching the game live and realised the goal had been disallowed. If given the whole structure of the game changes from a Spurs free kick to a kick off. Also suggest that then Cody would not have been in the same situation and not picked up the injury.
