Evening ed25 mate ( if you're about )

Read that Everton are needing to take out loans to pay the players, can't remember if it was on the site or the news paper, is this correct mate?

{Ed025's Note - not that i have heard Drogie but because of our financial plight we will be hearing all sorts of rumours mate..

I thought it was quite common for businesses to get short term corporate finance to pay dues. I would imagine in the football business it would be all the more likely as the earnings from the league finish, broadcast revenue, player sales and season tickets etc come in all at once. I didn't mention any tournament winnings because don't think there is any chance of any of that coming in ?.

Yeah hanif, one assumes that every club in England has an overdraft facility at the very least.

It's really only a problem if they're taking out a 5 year loan to pay wages for a month or something. And then can't repay them early when they get prize money. That'll result in them being FUBAR fairly quick.

At least your a positive bloke Ed and always plenty of honest humour on this site
I never enjoy seeing this play out in the media as many journalists wouldn’t know what the truth is and how dangerous lies are.

Just wondering, if they have any players that we could take off their hands and bung them a few quid, but I am struggling to identify any.

{Ed002's Note - Everton have been borrowing money to pay the wages for several months.}

Thanks for confirming ed002 - I knew I’d read it somewhere.
