Morning Eds and Reds.
For me Can has to move into midfield alongside Henderson if Lucas is injured.
Bring in Lovren or Johnson to play right sided CB.
I would also consider a return for Balotelli against Tottenham.
Sturridge has to start and maybe having a foil would help him and take the pressure off.
BR said Balotelli is not playing because he can't press.
Lambert is playing and he can't press?? He is too slow to press. So what is going on?
You don't repair a leak in the bucket by creating a leak in another part of the bucket. Leave Can where he is, our defence is doing great and took us long time to get there, let's not risk it. If we have to take risks (i.e. Lovern) I would rather take it nearer to midfield. Johnson should be on the pitch only if all other defenders and defending midfielders without exception are injured.
Btw eds what do we know about Lucas and also Lallana? Are they both out of the picture for tomorrow?
{Ed001's Note - I believe they are both out, but the club are very forthcoming regarding injuries these days. Same as the team sheets, they want to keep any possible advantage they can get.}

I'd actually say move Skrtel to the right and have Lovren in the centre. With Skrtel now picking up in form a bit, Lovren could do with having the superior leader and player in Sakho next to him
Fanobip, I understand what you are saying but for me we need to have a very energetic midfield because Bentaleb and Mason are workoholics in the Spurs midfield.
I think it is more important to win that battle.
I would like to think that our 3 CB's whoever they are can deal with the Kane threat.
If we win that battle in the middle of the park then Kane becomes isolated.
I would move Can to make sure we win that midfield battle.

Skrtel is picking up form because he is playing the centre CB of the back 3 imo. Lovren/Kolo for RCB for me.

Longer term I'd agree Kolo at RCB and otherwise as is, just talking about next match (Kolo played 120 mins last night, he won't be available even if he's back)
Put the pegs (square or round) EXACTLY where the belong. Footie is a simple game. It is coaches and their useless "philosophies" that make the game difficult. Play the CB at his position and the DM at his position. Simple!
