Very exciting times ahead. Can't remember the last time this was this amount of buzz around our club. The way Klopp conducts himself you can't help but like the bloke. I do think he will get the best out of the squad and i also believe, because of his brutal honesty, that he will also have the luxury of patience when things may not be going our way.

On a side note, I'd like to wish good luck to the Welsh boys today. Both football and rugby. A win in each should guarantee us top place in each group bar a disaster against Andorra next week.

{Ed001's Note - it is a lot more than just around the club, Bein Sports spent most of yesterday talking about Liverpool and Klopp's arrival. There were whole programmes dedicated to it. FSG must be rubbing their hands in glee!}

No way Ed seriously?I never would have thought it was that major news.

{Ed001's Note - it is huge mate, Klopp is huge news around the world and Liverpool are still a big name too, though there has been little to talk about with them in recent years. The biggest and oldest football team fan club in Dubai is the Dubai Reds, the Liverpool fan club.}

I'd like to echo those comments. There has been a real negativity around the whole club for some time now. In addition to the obvious failures, I felt this was another reason why a change was required. But I've been taken aback by the sheer size and force of the response to this appointment. I almost feel for Spurs having to play us on the back of it. almost!
It may not be a great standard, but it's a competitive league so I think he will be given time to turn things around. We do have a decent squad of players who can compete for a top 4 place.
I expect City to be way ahead of the rest and Chelsea have too many good players and a great manager for them not to come good(love to know what the issues are down there though!). But the rest are a much of a muchness so any advantage we can gain from this change may prove to be the difference.
On that note, foreign managers have previously been caught out by the so called weaker teams, so I hope that Klopp quickly acknowledges there are no easy games in this league.
Finally, KK quote about having a manager who is not in love with himself. anyone any idea who he is comparing JK with?

Yes, it is big news. When Rodgers resigned, it was Monday in South East Asia. The sheer number of Liverpool jerseys around Singapore, KL, Jakarta and Bangkok was strange to behold.

Jurgen Klopp signs on Thursday, and by Friday, night clubs with LFC affiliations are organizing happy hour parties!

So yes, Klopp is big news for a well supported club like LFC.

That's fantastic news.Hopefully players who would not consider coming may look at us differently since yesterday.
Thanks Ed.

{Ed002's Note - You need to understand the dire financial situation that exists.}

Try telling that to eds 002 eds 001.

But Liverpool are no bigger than Huddersfield?

10 Oct 2015 11:54:04
Yes Ed I really do understand the money situation.All I was really trying to say is JK will be more appealing to work with than BR to some players who may have never looked at Liverpool before.

{Ed002's Note - It may perhaps make a marginal difference but, aside from the higher end players and a few flakes who will come out and say "he sold the club to me" most players are more likely to be sold on the club rather than any individual associated with it.}

Very true it should always be about wanting to play for the club not the manager.

Rodgers didn't RESIGN, he had to be sacked.
