Positives yesterday, the result and Benteke (not just the goal and the penalty, had two other good finishes that were disallowed, probably rightly but a good sign in terms of finishing form) . Clyne and Moreno were ok as well most of the time. Negatives, more or less everything and everyone else.
Not much to add about Ming and the poor goal we conceded. The defence generally looked nervous and we were a bit lucky not to concede more.
Ibe and Milner, as ever, a lot of energy, have a lot of the ball and runs a lot but the final ball always always fails them. Unfortunately Firmino's final ball yesterday wasn't any better. Allen is Allen.
You would hope with Coutinho, and hopefully with Henderson, Sakho and Skertl we look better (I would have add Sturridge but unfortunately we will have to learn not to expect anything aout him) . But if we rest key players our level drop. No change there.

While I agree with you that Milner's final ball has been poor, if you're going to give Benteke's finishing credit for the disallowed goal you can't then disregard the would be assist by Milner. That just isn't fair.

Milner does give one accurate cross a game I agree, had an assist before to a great Benteke header, don't remember against who. Still, not good enough for me.

Milners ball would have been terrible and blocked by the first man if he didn't fall/get pushed, so no it wasn't a great ball by any means RedTd.

Allen had an excellent game yesterday. Prejudistic approach to the player.
Milner has been disappointing all season. Wasn't it Bob who claimed we don't need wingers and Milner could work on his crossing?
One meaningful cross and Benteke bangs it in. We need crossing to get the best out of Benteke.

Milner can cross, He actually put in several good balls yesterday, so did Ibe. We tended to play around the penalty area, and kept the ball on the ground, this is why they struggled when Ibe Firmino and Moreno linked up, they were constantly doubling up on Ibe again who was fantastic and everywhere.
We did as I said we should do and move the ball around and crossed when Benteke was free or we had a runner in at the back post, instead of just lumping it in and hoping which is the tactic you seem tow ant to go for. If you think Milner can't cross you never watched him at Newcastle Villa, City, or at any other point in his career.
btw 1 meaningul corss? Did you forget where the penalty came from, or when Benteke didn't go for Ibe's cross and Milner was just inches away from connecting at the back post, those are 3 off the top of my head.

EG does it matter. it was a good cross, Benteke decided to go near post AFTER the cross had been sent in, rather than pull off back post. Seriously just go watch the replay. Ypu'll see it all again, every single goal came from a cross, so i don't see what you are complaining about, and a lot of our good peneration came centrally.
