My takeout from last night was that Benteke cannot lead the line because no matter what, he cannot score. Yes he played better deeper in the field than usual yesterday, yes he put in more effort (although was caught out very often in attack being no-where near where he should be and doing the complete wrong thing) but I counted 6 golden chances to bury the game last night and he didn't manage to score any of them.
The other takeaway is that Tex, Smith and above all, Stewart, need some PL gametime because every time they play, no matter who against, they are among the most impressive performers on the field. With so many players underperforming at the moment, its time for their turn.

Pretty obvious now after how many games? that benteke needs to go in summer can't score too slow and positionally inept.

I think he might just surprise you all and I hope he does. Look how good his movement was last night playing with quality.
If he can get a partnership going with Studge we will be laughing.
How good would you all feel if we supported him for a bit and he came good?

Alfie, all this talk about movement and partnerships is c**p if a striker cannot put the ball in the back of the net. Benteke was never going to work out at LFC, he does not fit into our style of play and he can be very lazy and frustrating at times. We need to sign a consistent goalscorer with pace in the summer because Sturridge and Ings are injury prone and Origi has much to learn.

Let's see how he does with a partnership as he looked good when Studge came on, his hold up, touch and link up was really good second half.
If that goes well, gets more confidence and can be used also as an impact sub he might turn his LFC career round. He didn't do much wrong last night.
