Ed's has there been any change in tactics with the keepers? The past couple of weeks migs has been controlling the box a lot more and makes a canny bit of difference!
{Ed001's Note - it is the training that has changed. Achteberg and some other coaching staff bash the keepers with pads when they practice catching balls. Just gets them used to being battered, so they are not scared of the hits and can just concentrate on getting the ball rather than worrying about being clattered by Deeney.}

I would like mignolet to now become more vocal, he has been at the club long enough to dish out some verbals when the occasion calls for it.

Whatever they have been doing they need to keep it up I have been critical of the goalkeeper staff because the keepers have been making silly mistakes but got to give them credit when it's due hats off to them.

yes mignolet has definitely been far more confident in picking up balls from crosses. this is a big improvement imo, not the saves that should have been saved anyway kind of improvement.

just opinion but I feel one reason there's so few GKs who organise and dominate is so much is now planned and managed and the need for keepers to be organisers is only really noticed once there's a problem not as the default position.

Ed1 I thought I saw footage of the pads being used months ago? Or is it only now having an affect?
{Ed001's Note - it can take a long time for training methods to show a true effect, especially as we don't see him put under much pressure most weeks. This was the first week we had faced a real attempt to put crosses into the box for a big man and he showed the training has made a definite difference.}
