If Salah signs and possibly keita, or if hendo stays fit, I wouldn't be too disappointed to see Can sold. A primary front 3 of Mane, Salah and Bobby/ Studge and a mid 3 from Hendo Couts Lallana Gini with Grujic and other youngsters backing up I think is ample. let's put money into the backline. I know squad depth is important, but at what cost, tens of millions and opportunities of academy youngsters?

Isnt Can a youngster who is coming good?

If Henderson does not somehow get rid of the heel injury on a permanent basis, I see Can taking over more and more of Hendo's position and stature in the team. I've read here that the injury is usually permanent, so that tells you how on and off Henderson will be in the team.

If you're going to keep Grujic because of potential (we haven't seen much of him, otherwise), why get rid of Can's potential, which is far greater (based on what we have seen)? Does not make sense, at all.

Can is not getting sold and Keita isn't coming so your premonition has no basis in reality. also, several of the academy players are not seen as ready yet to step in and take their chances yet as we have seen that they cannot judging by the dreadful form we had in Jan and Feb of this year. Not saying it's their fault but the occasion may have been too big for them. I say we put money at the FB positions and add more depth to the areas we are lacking cos trust me, if we could not cope with a 42 game season with no Europe, how will we cope with a 50 plus game season with no quality depth in the squad?

Brussels - the cup games last season were last season. The same youngsters have had more development and some will deserve another chance to shine this season.

I thought can was one of our better players towards the end of the season. Really started to his potential. If he could keep fit and play at that level coststanly he will become a very key player for us.

Ra1969. The heel injury is permanent, it can't be cured as such but that is not to say you can't go 2,3 or 4 years pain free. It can settle and you can get on with you daily life.

The team that finished the season was much improved from Dec/ Jan. Rhey actuall learned to grind out the result facing the parked bus.

The failures in the cups is down to no one else but Klopp,

Too many changes at the same time and throwing too many young lads in with our non regular starters.

Klopp needs to realise that when lower league players come to Anfield they are playing maybe the one massive game in their career, they leave nothing on the pitch.
