Ed002, you confirmed the other night (several times) that LFC did approach Nice about Jean Michael Seri.
What was Nice's response? I know he's now likely to go to Barcelona but I'm just interested.

So we make an approach they say he is available so we take it to the next level and do nothing as per usual. Not to worry though the transfer window hasn't closed yet and we're bound to make loads of top class signings in the next 8 days.

Jayden, we did plenty with it, we 'accidentally' forwarded on the fax from Nice saying he was available to Barcelona hoping to convince them to go for him instead, it worked! Crisis averted ;)

Liverpool are told that Seri is unavailable, yet have not followed through with an offer.
People, I think this is a big clue that Macca is right about Liverpool going in again for Keita.

I think Seri may have been a replacement for Coutinho, i originally thought he was a Keita alternative but think eds confirmed its if coutinho was to leave.

This could be a ploy to nudge Liverpool to allow Coutinho to leave, but there's rumours Barcelona are looking to Naby Keita now. Could be mischief making by Barcelona trying to get you to sell Coutinho or is it genuine interest?

Sorry eds the question was rhetorical and in reply to the he was a replacement for Coutinho comment. Why would we enquire about a replacement for a player we apparently have no intention of selling.

I think you've taken my comment the wrong way eds I wasn't being critical or moaning that we had approached the club. My comment was just in reply to Tia 19's comment.
