On the whole can situation - come January if he doesn't sign an extension, I wouldn't play him. I want him to stay, he has potential to be class and is already pretty good, but seems pointless playing when we have other cms and will probably buy to replace next year.

If he is unsure fine, but I don't see the point in playing a player who is destined to leave - heart won't be In it and taking Chances away from the others. Still paying the same wages either way!

Can has done very well recently, iv always believed he can be a great player, however we gain nothing long term by playing him if he will not sign on. I agree with the OP, give till Jan and if still not signing sell for at least something or let go on loan covering wages. Genuinely hope he stays but can't see it at this stage.

A regular start with Serie A rulers and UCL finalists and one of the biggest clubs in the world vs possible/ probable start for us? I can see his challenge to face.
