Hence I said apparently. Came from a pretty reliable source (as people claim) on Twitter. Makes no sense now that we have Keita, otherwise Kova could have been a worthy alternative.

Coutinho will likely leave and Lemar is far from a certainty to join (Monaco will have ridiculous amounts of money once Mbappe is sold) so we are perhaps keeping open multiple options should one of them prove to be unworkable. It's commonsense - can't afford to put all our eggs in one basket this close to the deadline eh.
