I’ll be honest if we swapped Trent for Valverde I’d be fine with that. Valverde is one of the best midfielders in world football. But it’s fantasy stuff.

Trent won’t be going but Ramsay needs to step up massively when he’s fit if not we need to bring in a RB to properly compete with Trent. If we miss out on top 4 a big name will definitely go because we aren’t spending otherwise not sure who. Salah? Alisson I think won’t want to end his career with only 1 title wouldn’t surprise me.

How many times have we all seen top players game go poor then several months later they have moved on?
Ozil, christenson, F Torres, Abamyang, Suarez just a few off top my head . Certain clubs/ agents ask players to construct a move .
In Trents case the boy was being touted the best in his position in the world and within 10 months he is playing like an amature and how do you think us LFC fans would react like if he was on the top of
his game they would be uproar .
I may be wrong but we need a top midfielder madrid need an attacking wing back perfect for both parties . If i am wrong then how can a player of his caliber drop his standards so much and yes he scored a fantastic goal but that just shows the ability is still there for certain club.

Saying that ed025 as you grew up in the good old age of the 50s and 60s sportsmanship was in its prime amongst honourable gentlemen, trent was born in the wrong era .

However Real this rumour is, it does make sense in terms of a fit. Trent's somewhat luxurious style would be perfect for RM or FCB one day, and who could deny a man his dream if that is what he wanted.
As crazy as it sounds, i would not mind if we sold Salah, VVD and Trent to fund a rebuild . That trio must be worth 300m at least.

As usual, modern football seems to be an exercise in revving up mass hysteria in fans. Liverpool only a couple months ago, were been talked about as having the greatest club season ever, and now they seem to be a shadow of that great team of yesteryears. Sure Mane was sold, but diaz was already a great acquisition last season, and the addition of nunez and the resurgent form of firmino means the attack is okay. Salah however has been in a funk and who is to blame him? Losing the afcon and world cup qualifier, as well as finishing second in both the PL and UCL must not have been easy for him. Yes he signed a new contract, but he's also human, all too human. Hasn't even had a decent break to rest, process the losses, and recalibrate. Same for the entire team. What's happening now is the PL is highly competitive. If this was early noughties when the top 4 was fixed before the season began, it wouldn't really matter as at the very least top 4 would be guaranteed. However this is not the case anymore. I would suggest the fans get behind the team, ride this season out, trust in the process which let's be honest has had fantastic success the past couple seasons, and have faith that this is just a blip, which is understandable and not allow themselves to be get swallowed by the mass hysteria being generated by journalists and rival fans. Ups and downs folks. That's football.

You could argue TAA not appearing for the second half at arsenal was the reason for the team not being as good as their last 30 minutes of the first half. The reason for his recent demise could be he's not enjoying his football at the moment.

Perhaps he wants a move to play in midfield at another club, as he knows he will never get the chance here? He started his career as a midfield player at the academy and all junior/ senior teams etc. If Hendo gets the Suarez treatment, perhaps that is his chance to play midfield at last.

All it takes is a bad run of a few games and the nutters with conspiracy theories start coming out of the woodwork.
It makes for comical morning reading though.
Trent is a human being, a relatively young one at that. There could be any number of issues going on with him that we don't know about. Injury, family issues, loss of form and confidence.
But no, this is all happening because Trent wants to play in midfield for Real Madrid.
You simply couldn't make it up.
