Evening Gents. WhatsApp from my man in the know below. I’m at my players window clean next Tuesday, so will try and confirm.
WhatsApp message copy and pasted directly...
“
Ok. You knobhead. Windows Wednesday works well.
We received conf. this morning that Arne is going to leave the club via mutual consent at the end of the month. No conf. on replacement. Mike Gordon flew in last week and has pulled rank.
“
Cheers folks.
CSW.
19 May 2026 22:35:40
Hope so. 🙏
{Ed078's Note - get ready for 20 questions.
19 May 2026 22:40:51
How often does bro get his windows cleaned. What are you two really up to...
19 May 2026 22:50:49
What's the best window cleaning solution that doesn't leave any streaks?
19 May 2026 23:27:03
Mutual agreement and parting of ways makes sense. Let's hope.
Ken.
19 May 2026 23:30:08
Good work, knobhead
20 May 2026 01:02:08
So are you going next Tuesday or on 'Windows Wednesday'? Don't miss your appointment!
19 May 2026 22:03:49.
Well guys and gals, I have come across some new info in the past 24hrs that could mean my earlier posts about Slot definately staying are no longer correct.
I don't know if any of you watch the YouTube videos by Alex Malone (YNWA REDS) on all things Liverpool, but he is saying with a great deal of conviction, that 2 separate sources from within the club have told him directly that Slot will be removed from post after the Brentford game.
He states both sources are very reliable, and he is sure the info is genuine.
So if this info is right, then I have to hold my hands up and say my earlier posts are no longer valid, although they were when I posted them.
19 May 2026 22:37:16
Are you saying that Alex Malone is your source?
19 May 2026 23:04:03
Gregarious, not the source for my original post, but his recent video a day ago was when he made those comments. I have no idea if he is reliable, to be honest. Have you seen any of his stuff?
I only came across his channel yesterday, and his latest video was the one he made those comments.
19 May 2026 23:16:29
Who will be the final nominee for the director?
19 May 2026 23:23:42
Rokki, there was no mention of a director in my post. What director are you on about?
19 May 2026 23:44:40
So basically, you were an ITK, but you now realize you were not, but you want us to treat you still as an ITK? 🥸
19 May 2026 23:46:49
Oops. My mistake. You are playing the classic "things can change very quickly in football" card. Okay, I get it now. Sorry.
19 May 2026 20:41:09
Perhaps Hughes’ plan all along was…
Bournemouth finish above us.
We are all okay with getting their manager in.
19 May 2026 21:02:24
Maybe we should get their scouts too.
They seem to find tremendous players to replace the ones they’ve sold for big money, Adrien Truffer …. The left back they got to replace Kerkez being one of them.
19 May 2026 21:07:29
I'm ok even if they don't finish above us.
He's the best man for the job.
19 May 2026 21:11:30
As they are a better side, it's very likely.
19 May 2026 21:14:39
Liver-La, Bournemouth very much like Brighton lose players every season for big profit & just replace them with more unheard of players & just continue on their merry way.
We should employ their scouts, but then if we went & signed Truffer (or Senesi, Baleba etc etc), everyone on here would be screaming why didn't we sign Kerkez because nobody had ever heard of him...
19 May 2026 21:31:44
I think Nutter74, you are bang on. I always see the 'mid table' clubs getting absolute gems for next to nothing in today's market, and think why can't we get players like that, but I suppose it's a case of being Liverpool, you shop in a different market where the pool is smaller but more lucrative & again, if we signed a 'nobody' then most of the fans will be up in arms.
We always cry out for the marquee signing.
19 May 2026 23:46:25
Deffo, Ron.
19 May 2026 23:56:18
Why can't we sign players for cheap like Bournemouth? Er, cos we're not Bournemouth? lol.
Have you read the way people on here talk about our potential new signings hahaha.
In all seriousness, Kerkez said it himself earlier in the season - there is an adjustment moving from playing at a club like Bournemouth with less pressure, expectations, and less football than being at a massive club like Liverpool.
So whilst I am sure there will be market opportunities, like a Robbo, it's never going to be the norm for us.
19 May 2026 19:01:22
Hi all,
The board have also registered in Inzaghi. He is my personal preferred choice. One to watch.
19 May 2026 19:53:24
Cheers, Victor. Just seen Conte also becoming available as well.
Quite a selection of managers available, surprisingly.
19 May 2026 20:08:46
I remember Carra saying a few months back, Inzaghi was interested. Bit of a worry that he's predominately a back 3/5 manager, as far as I'm aware, but always done well in Europe and in Italy.
19 May 2026 20:15:27
Apart from the fact he speaks little to no English, and plays 3 at the back, what could go wrong? As for Conte? No Chelsea rubbish, thank you.
19 May 2026 20:08:07
I wonder if Edwards & Hughes will be leaving, i can't see any top manager wanting to be a yes man to 2 clowns.
Although i don't envy how Chelsea do things, they have scrapped 'head coach' and given Alonso the manager title which suggests a release of some power by the suits, and i'd like us to do the same.
19 May 2026 20:34:01
I like Inzaghi, but agree, Vg, the 3-5-2 worries me, and would be a bigger shift in style. Also, although I believe he is taking English lessons, language is a worry...... Still Hoeness for me, and not just because he has a beard and is German.
19 May 2026 20:39:34
Names just getting chucked around now. Inzaghi, am sure, will definitely improve fitness levels. Don't think Italian managers like days off.
But unless we are planning on a big change in formation seems a bit strange.
19 May 2026 20:47:01
Can we not just go for Irola. Bournemouth have been superb since he went there.
19 May 2026 20:47:14
Hoeness has been playing 3421 this season a lot as well.
19 May 2026 20:51:48
A lot of this season, Hoeness has played 3421, and the players could fit that criteria.
19 May 2026 20:53:10
Simone or Filippo?
19 May 2026 21:04:45
352 would be sound, we've got some young CB coming back, Kerkez and Frimpong as wing backs, be able to support midfield more, Isak and Ekitike up front when he's back?
19 May 2026 21:15:07
No thanks, Iraola or Hoeness please.
19 May 2026 23:15:09
Victor
Are the final candidates Hurnes and Inzaghi?
I wonder which one is most likely.
Thank you always for the information!
19 May 2026 23:34:27
Was impressed by how Bournemouth went for City. Iraola passed his audition.
19 May 2026 14:16:36
Hi eds,
Any news on signings this summer?
This baldy manager has made me depressed, hoping for sone positive news soon.
Sangare looks a real talent, are we interested in him?
{Ed001's Note - I don't have anything other than apparently we are interested in Kounde from Barca.}
19 May 2026 14:38:40
That's uninspiring unless on a free maybe.
19 May 2026 14:47:04
Kounde is decent and can play RB as well as CB.
We have an average and an injury-prone RB as things stand.
Trent's left ear has not even been replaced.
19 May 2026 14:41:28
Kounde and Dumfries apparently ed for the RB role which suggests a change to our usual younger high sell on potential model.
{Ed001's Note - I can't believe we have also abandoned the no pricks rule to go for that utter prick Dumfries.}
19 May 2026 14:43:33
Kounde is an interesting one, Ed. Would cost a pretty penny wouldn't he?
I recall we were linked with him when he was at Sevilla too.
{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, I have no idea how long his contract has left.}
19 May 2026 15:25:34
Contracted to 2030 - Just signed a 5 year deal last year apparently.
Reading that Barcelona are very unhappy with his form over the last year. Some accusations of not trying.
19 May 2026 15:10:48
He's contracted until 2030 Ed001, but the rumours are that Barca would sell at 80 million euros. There are some who believe they could need to sacrifice Kounde to raise funds.
I like Kounde. He's a lot like Timber and I'd say they're probably the two best RB's in Europe right now, after Hakimi.
19 May 2026 15:09:58
Didnt know he was a bad guy ed - we do love a dutch player lately
19 May 2026 15:48:11
I'd read we were after Dumfries & Koopmeiners, which truly is scraping the barrel. Dumfries is poor defensively, injury prone and a knob head, whereas Koopmeiners is slow, immobile and tackle shy.
19 May 2026 15:37:14
Haha! I didn't know Dumfries was a prick Ed!
Fill me in?
19 May 2026 15:43:59
So the rumor about Dumfries is true Ed? That is very surprising. I thought its just because he's Dutch and our current manager loved Dutch players.
19 May 2026 16:13:30
"Accusations of not trying"
He'll fit in great with most of our players this season then!
19 May 2026 16:20:14
I think Kounde is a good player. If you can tolerate his fashion sense, which, for me, is from some far away planet, then we might have a good player. But that is a big if, as he does seem a very odd person to me.
19 May 2026 16:39:28
80 million euros. They can keep him.
19 May 2026 16:34:06
Ed, what's Dumfries done? Am I dumb (no pun intended lol)
{Ed001's Note - he is just a prick.}
19 May 2026 16:40:44
I remember watching Ian Graham have a subtle pop at Jurgen's "no dickheads" policy because nerds don't value those things. I had this worry that, absent Jurgen, we would start to act like Chelsea. Sell the academy players, buy to sell, focus on profitability. Essentially, I worried we would become commodities traders as a club if no one checked those excesses.
In summer, as everyone was summersaulting over signing Isak, I couldn't get it square that he's an injury-prone target man who needs the team designed to play to him, and he went on strike.
All of it stinks.
Wirtz is a wonderful technician, but he's got zero anima or fight. We had 18 months to replace our third most influential player, and signed a wing back.
So any player we are linked to, I am less than excited about. The change needed is someone who not only replaces Slot, but values a player's character as much as Jurgen did, and can stand up to Hughes and Edwards.
Big ask.
19 May 2026 16:48:20
With a new manager, we will have 25 new signings because let's be honest, everyone looks s***.
19 May 2026 17:32:20
There's reasons that decent players become shabite overnight. Of course, there's a debate in blaming the manager or their will to fight and play well regardless, but that's another story. Regardless, people have paid good money to be let down by the backroom staff, players, and manager.
19 May 2026 12:05:13
Do the kit photos mean Alisson is not going anywhere?
19 May 2026 12:25:45
If they do, it means we are keeping Macca too.
19 May 2026 12:27:37
Jones too.
19 May 2026 12:28:09
Literally first thing I thought .... but then I thought ... they prob would have to put him in anyway for the sales!!!!
If Marma does it, most people would have an absolute melt down if he goes as well.
Me included.
19 May 2026 12:28:46
Wouldn't read too much into that, mate - anything can happen, & more than likely will happen.
19 May 2026 12:28:57
They're advertising kits with Salah's name on it so it means nothing.
19 May 2026 12:38:00
Szbo and Konate aren't in the pics, so by that logic they both gone too.
19 May 2026 12:38:15
Judging by Ekitike's hair and Isak's beard - these new kit photos were taken a couple of months ago.
19 May 2026 12:39:16
@VV, the conspiracy theorists would tell you that it means that the club knows that Slot is going and Salah is now happy to stay!
19 May 2026 12:56:52
TBF, I think we have more LFC staff on here than what work at Anfield these days, but hey it's all part of the magic - rock on boys and girls.
19 May 2026 13:45:06
Means absolutely nothing.
19 May 2026 14:09:07
Photo shoot probably took place back in December or something so I wouldn't read anything into any of it.
19 May 2026 10:49:07
Slot leaves on mutual agreement.
Flo
19 May 2026 10:59:14
Off to Ibiza for the week running up to the final game?
19 May 2026 11:00:58
I really hope so ...It's who replaces him though. 🤔
19 May 2026 11:01:12
Great, and thanks for the info.
When?
19 May 2026 11:11:53
Hope he just flo ats away soon.
Cheers Flo.
19 May 2026 11:12:05
Another ITK relying on Twitter....
19 May 2026 11:14:26
All speculation he's gone nowhere.
19 May 2026 11:14:48
Can only hope.
19 May 2026 11:23:40
I believe it's his agent who is sending out the positive information. Hoeness doesn't want any distractions before the cup final, allegedly.
19 May 2026 11:27:10
Source: YouTube Shorts.
19 May 2026 11:29:19
Have we got to the point now when anybody posting an opinion or rumour on a rumours page is automatically labelled an ITK? Being honest, I find that to be pathetic.
19 May 2026 11:57:15
To be an ITK you gotta sign your name on the bottom like Carra does, otherwise you're a spoofer. 😅
19 May 2026 11:59:36
Thanks, Flo, appreciate the post.
19 May 2026 12:11:41
I think there's a massive difference between sharing a rumour you've seen vs passing on concrete intel you have through genuine connections.
This is a rumours board after all so all rumours are welcome, but people really ought to be upfront about whether their source is the internet or a genuine connection.
Back in the day Ed2 used to slap down anyone that was talking out of their arse and how I miss those days.
The likelihood we have as many claimed ITKs on this site since his sad passing is extremely low in my opinion and a few people have seized the opportunity.
Before any of said posters get upset about that, I'm not calling out anyone in particular as we have no way of knowing who they are.
I definitely believe a couple of posters are genuine ITKs and their efforts are greatly appreciated
19 May 2026 12:23:05
Completely agree with you, ChangingoftheGvardiol.
19 May 2026 12:28:40
Absolutely spot on, ChangingoftheGvardiol.
19 May 2026 12:35:08
He leaves every week to fly home!
19 May 2026 12:49:29
ChangingoftheGvardiol I hear you brother. 🫡
19 May 2026 16:16:05
____ and ____ are ITKs, but ____ is an IKFA.
19 May 2026 16:39:51
I'm deffo an IKFA - ask my missus.
19 May 2026 09:34:50
Morning Gents.
The manger saga continues.
Just been informed that Liverpool are in direct talks with Sebastian Hoeness.
Also been made aware that Jurgen Klopp has been a helping hand in regards to such approach.
Happy Tuesday.
19 May 2026 10:01:15
Cheers Robbo.
19 May 2026 10:02:23
Cheers, Rob.
Wouldn't it be best to hire an older, more experienced manager though? Someone who can handle these egos? No offence to Hoeness, but will he command the respect of these players?
19 May 2026 10:03:51
Wow, hope this happens, this guy is 🔥.
19 May 2026 10:17:50
Best manager? Jebus's, better than Pret A.
19 May 2026 10:18:40
Cheers, Robbo.
19 May 2026 10:25:14
I would imagine you don't really need to be older, it's more about how you put yourself across, carry yourself and motivate.
Being more present would go some way towards setting expectations and standards.
Happy to give the guy a chance.
19 May 2026 10:26:24
Excellent news.
19 May 2026 10:29:19
In my opinion, he's the second coming of Jurgen Klopp, he's a great manager, and seems to me, he creates a team out of individuals.
Perfect appointment in my eyes.
19 May 2026 10:32:27
Hoeness has the charisma and presence, which perhaps Iraola lacks. Iraolo is a brilliant coach, but being the figurehead of LFC demands more.
19 May 2026 10:32:35
I believe Jurgen was 48 when he came to Liverpool. Hoeness is 44.
Arguably, Jurgen had more years in management than Hoeness but may bring different ideas and a more Klopp-like playing style?
Alonso is also 44 & Iraola is 43, so is age really that important?
19 May 2026 10:37:41
I would've been happy with him or Iraola, however, the only thing I wonder about Iraola is that he might want to jet back off to Spain at some point due to his family missing home.
I don't know much about him other than what I've read, but if he's desperate to join us and can get the levels back up, then we should be back in business!
Cheers Robbo.
19 May 2026 10:39:37
Hopefully he can bring Stiller with him.
19 May 2026 10:45:34
If you are good enough, you are old enough imo.
As for dealing with the Egos of the players, that would all depend on how he communicates with them.
If players buy into what you want them to do, it makes the job so much easier to navigate.
Such a shame it has come to this, but Slot has only himself to blame.
Treating the manager's job like a part-time position was never going to go down well. Add in the style of play, the lack of fitness and the fact the players and supporters have mentally checked out, and there can only be one outcome.
19 May 2026 10:50:42
Duck all of these players should have any ego after this season.
19 May 2026 10:52:49
RobboLFC, you are absolutely correct, he is the next best thing to Klopp. 🔴
19 May 2026 10:58:09
Cheers, Robbo.
Anyone know if Honess will bring his family with him to Liverpool?
19 May 2026 10:58:10
Hoeness very much employs a modern way of playing, with deep, patient build-up and dominance of the ball favoured over the chaotic pressing and attacking that the Bundesliga has become known for. Stuttgart's style has often been compared to that of Pep Guardiola's Man City.
Hoeness' flexibility is reminiscent of Julian Nagelsmann, while the German dresses like Jurgen Klopp and his team presses like a Klopp side.
Intriguingly, during his time away from the game, Hoeness linked up with Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton to analyse the Italian's philosophy. The inspirations behind Hoeness' ideas are clear for all to see, and his players have executed them to perfection in 2023/24.
19 May 2026 11:00:43
Please, Please, Robbo, let it be true, mate. 🙏
19 May 2026 11:02:37
I think his mum is likely to stay in Germany.
Hopefully this is a go! Thanks, Robbo.
19 May 2026 11:05:16
At this stage I'll take almost anybody over Slot, bar Mourinho or another Dutch coach (e.g. Ten Hag, Van Gaal).
Hoeness sounds capable to me. I agree that it would be excellent if he brought in Stiller if he's appointed as our next coach. We desperately need a workhorse type CM with bite and good distribution like him.
19 May 2026 11:07:45
Still not buying any of this personally and will be surprised if Slot does indeed move on (or is pushed). But if it happens so be it!
In all honestly, I know very little about Sebastian Hoeness, I have an awareness of him over the past few years and know he is well thought of, and his teams play a distinct high pressing style that is not too dissimilar to a certain German ex LFC boss.
But there in lies my worry...
Are we going down a dodgy path just trying to chase and recreate another Klopp!?!?!
Isn't that what Dortmund did for a few years after Jurgen moved on and look where that got them?
This guy has not really won anything of note and I'd just worry he's a poor man's Jurgen tribute act.
A massive worrying step into the unknown!
19 May 2026 11:08:54
I don't know anything bout this lad, but few comments mention that he prefers a more deliberate slow build up play, which is one (of many) criticisms of Slot. Interested to know if people would tolerate slow build up play if the high energy press returned?
19 May 2026 11:14:27
I'm not worried about managing big egos, he's a manager and regardless who he manages, he should be able to deal with players. If he can't then he shouldn't be a manager.
19 May 2026 11:15:17
Thanks as always Robbo, keep the information flowing.
19 May 2026 11:20:13
As long as he's not a yes man like Slot to Hughes and Edward's that's all.
19 May 2026 11:20:37
If De Zerbi is an inspiration for Hoeness, he's basically got the same game model at Arne Slot, who also cited De Zerbi's style. So more press baiting crap.
As for second coming of Klopp - a dangerous road to go down.
19 May 2026 11:23:18
Absolute Blockbuster of a Coach, sorry.
19 May 2026 11:39:15
His team presses like Klopp, but that doesn't mean he is a Klopp copy. As mentioned by others, his team is more possession and control based than fast, chaotic transitions. Stiller is integral as a tempo setter rather than a quarterback, and he needs a runner next to him.
For Klopp-like excitement going forward, I think Iraola is probably the closest and would be my choice.
19 May 2026 11:52:21
Thanks, Robbo. Any updates on Edwards and STC?
19 May 2026 11:55:12
It might be in the minority, but I don't think our squad has many big egos. Rather, we have a bunch of soft lads that are quick to feel sorry for themselves.
We need to add more steel in the squad while adding some leadership and work ethic in the football hierarchy.
19 May 2026 12:42:04
How do Chelsea fire Rosenior, have an interim manager and appoint Alonso? Pep reports he's leaving City, and they appoint Maresca as his replacement in 1 day.
In the meantime, Slot has been getting worse all season, and we are still deciding on if we need a new manager, and if we do, who's it going to be.
19 May 2026 13:05:28
Maybe they are happy with the manager they have, Krums89. Would explain why there's no news.
19 May 2026 13:56:35
I don't know where your guys get their bits. I don't claim to be ITK either, but as of yesterday LFC have not been talking to any managers at all.
Slot has always maintained good relationships with players.
Slot has always been absolutely clear with the board and has been fair to all players. The players want contracts and commitments that the board and Slot don't want to give.
Always been the case.
This season's disappointment, Slot has accepted all responsibility and has a plan for next year.
There is no change and Slot is the boss. Liverpool will not change a coach because players are sus and can't handle a shred of responsibility.
19 May 2026 14:03:46
Cafu, honestly, dude, the writing is on the wall. I don't see how/where you get this stance other than trying to wind ppl up.
19 May 2026 14:23:00
I'm not sure egos are an issue, those speaking out have done so for their love of the club.
19 May 2026 14:30:53
Robbo, thank you always for the good news.
In that case, is Sebastian Hoenes a strong candidate for the Liverpool manager position?
I understand he renewed his contract, but I am curious if there is a separate release clause.
Also, I wonder if this is the end for Iraola.
Thank you always.
19 May 2026 14:39:58
Cafu, do you really believe in what you just wrote? The second players liked Salah's post, they knew how people were gonna read into it. By linking it, they made a statement of support to Salah's comments and showed where they stand.
It didn't take long either, actually it went so fast, that there is no reason to believe that they hadn't been informed before the statement came.
19 May 2026 16:07:23
I won't argue. Just telling what I know from my friend.
I have lost interest in this saga anyways. I don't claim to be ITK and I won't ever. But my friend certainly is a ManCity ITK.
If players were dead against Slot, he would have been off by now. It's not the case. Likes on SM mean BS.
19 May 2026 16:26:34
Currently Iraola and Hoeness are the only managers LFC are talking to, I've been told.
Slot will depart on "good" terms.
I've heard more noise regarding Iraola than Hoeness.
But, the most important detail is Hoeness is keen.
Cheers.
19 May 2026 16:53:06
Thank you for the information, Robbo.
I find Hoeness more appealing than Iraola.
19 May 2026 08:16:16
Hi all,
First of all, most of the staff assistants are prepared to walk away. One might join with the Dutch team staff.
Second of all, a certain assistant coach from Rotterdam might be joining with Arne Slot elsewhere 'cause he got a job offer but not from Liverpool.
Third of all, a rumour has it, VVD is weighing up a proposition from a wealthy outfit we played lately.
19 May 2026 08:29:51
Why so cryptic? If you have some info about two coaches and a team, why be so ambiguous about the names?
19 May 2026 08:43:46
Presumably, you are talking about VVD going to Galatasaray?
I think they suggested an approach for both him and Salah recently.

Now very 3-2-1! You won a fortnight's holiday in Aigburth!
19 May 2026 09:04:21
Unfortunately, BobSanvagene, we've all been left with Dusty Van Der Bin.
19 May 2026 09:24:05
VVD to PSG.
19 May 2026 09:29:19
That's what I never get. And we I rarely believe. If you have information, come out with the information. Don't throw a load of vagueness that covers a loada boxes.
19 May 2026 09:31:44
So, something might happen with the manager and back room staff, and a player might leave.
Thanks for the info, I'll keep my eye out!

Iraola or Hoeness. Who's it gonna be?
For me, Hoeness has the presence and charisma to lead a big club.

Bob Holness is dead, baby. He wants an R.I.P. please.
19 May 2026 10:00:27
If Slot is going, and Sebastian Hoeness is interested, take him because I believe he will be a great fit for us. 👌

Keep the news coming Stan. I appreciate it. VVD is shot, btw, and he has let the squad and the supporters down this season, not only by his performances on the pitch but in his support of Slop. I don't mind seeing him depart after that. As long as we replace him with a top drawer equivalent.
19 May 2026 10:48:42
As I understand, Sipke might be included into the Dutch team staff.
Etienne Reijnen is heading elsewhere, as he wanted to work with Slot, but might not be granted his wish.
VVD is considering his future at Liverpool depending on a new manager. Not so sure whether Gala are the destination.
I wish Salah could stay but that might mean the captain goes.

See how we get on without Virgil. Our one world class proven defender.
19 May 2026 11:18:01
Stan, that means there was a split in the camp of pro Slot and Slot out.
19 May 2026 11:21:26
Our one ex-world class defender. He's a million miles from world class now.
19 May 2026 11:35:30
Among the players, Keegan? Players should be pro Liverpool, not pro or against the manager. Not up to them who's manager, that's down to the club to decide. Just go out and give everything once or twice a week, and pick up that massive pay cheque, lads.
And I mean this for when Slot is gone as well. We can't be having players just deciding they don't like managers. That's how you end up like Utd post Fergie and Real at the minute.
19 May 2026 12:17:18
Still think Virgil gets into just about any team on the planet.
19 May 2026 21:01:11
Can I have a P, please, Bob.
