Been reading a lot of posts saying there's no way we'd be able to spend £200 million on VVD, Salah, Lacazetter and a left back. Mostly a lot of negative comments about FSG which I think are unfair as I think they've done a good job. I was reading an interview with a football finance expert and he was saying with the amount of money clubs have now with the new TV deals, influx of billionaire owners and much improved sponsorship deals that he expected the top 6 teams to all spend £200 million plus and he even said that with inflated prices that see average players going for around £20million that he thinks most teams will spend £100million this summer. It just seems crazy to me a Bournemouth or Burnley going out an spending £100 million on players to stay up when only a few years ago £100 million could buy you a title challenging squad. The amount of money these days banded about doesn't seem real.

Relegated Sunderland earned more money than Juventus winning the seria A. There is insane money in PL. it's nice to see the money being circulated all across Europe. players remains same but Yesterday's £25 mill becomes todays £50 mill. Imagine Andrew Robertson becoming a £30 mill player next summer? Lol.

Not to mention between Markovic, Sakho, Moreno, maybe one of Sturridge, Ings and Origi and some fringe players like Kent we are likely to recover at least 50-80m of our spending.

Yeah I agree we could recoup some money, my only worry is we will take losses on a few too. For example Markovic, even in today's inflated market we are unlikely to see anywhere near the £20million we paid for him, Sturridge we might get around £15 million Sakho we should turn in a profit for. If we signed the alleged top 3 targets we've been linked with in the press of VVD, Lacazette and Salah I'd be delighted, extra strength at the back and last season Salah and Lacazette scored over 50 goals between them, plus they are pacy players, which we've lacked at times without Mane. Address the left back problem, sell the players like Sturridge, Sakho, Origi, Markovic to try and recoup some cash and if FSG have anything left in the pot the a DM would be nice. That for me would be a dream summer.
