so Barcelona are giving us so called ultimatums take there latest offer or it will be taken off the table-- take it off the table take the table too-do they think they can push every body around there needs are more desperate than ours.

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona have acted reasonably and legally throughout - whilst Klopp and Liverpool have been entirely unprofessional with their transfer dealings. Perhaps you should look closer to home for you idiotic posts.}

ed we don't want to sell just because the player wants to go and the buying team want him why shpuld we sell. its in our best interest to keep our best players or at least get a fee which suits us for phil. i don't get your distain for liverpool and their dealings with Barca. we acted illegally and wrongly this summer with our tapping up and unsettling of Vvd and NB but that doesn't mean we should roll over this because Barcelona come calling.

{Ed002's Note - I have never suggested that Liverpool should sell. I have explained repeatedly the situation as it is. I don't and have never said that Liverpool have acted incorrectly with Barcelona - but the repeated embarrassing posts from Liverpool supporters about the funds offered and Barcelona themselves go well beyond the normal stupidity shown by the fans. Could you point out where i said Liverpool should "roll over"?}

ed u have no sugguested liverpool should roll over nor said liverpool have acted incorrectly with barca. all i am saying is that unless liverpool get what price they deemed suitable for PC they shouldn't sell just because Phil says he wants to go. liverpool be it the manager, board or owners have to put liverpools interests first. im sure of he stays he will put his head down as he doesn't seem the type of player to be disruptive. anyway ed thanks for your time and effort.

{Ed002's Note - There is a trade off between having a disgruntled player at the club or not. Most clubs will not want players at the club who are unhappy and want to be elsewhere - and they won't stand in the way of a player who wants to go if an acceptable offer is recieved.}

Don't think he was referring to illegal behaviour, just that their behaviour in general is the known cheeky Barca/ Madrid way.
No I'm not condoning anything that happened closer to home by the way.
Barca don't behave the way the vast majority of English clubs do in and around transfers i. e. regularly briefing the media on other clubs' players.
Just look at Koeman last week refusing to talk about Sigurdsen until his transfer was complete saying he refused to discuss other clubs' players which was admirable. Football is constantly evolving though, following the leaders and soon all clubs may well follow Barca's ways.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about with "cheeky". Barcelona has a pretty good relationship with many of the clubs they deal with regularly but as you say thay will speak with the press. Later this week they will be involved in a meeting in Monaco with a group of "elite" sides and a few invitees - and on the agenda, amongst other matter, is the subject of the spiralling transfer fees.}

Funny how it wasn't on the agenda when they could buy whoever they wanted but now there is competition and there all skint they want to talk about it haha.

That's the only reason I love the city's and psgs, they can rival and make the "super teams" look stupid.

Neymar transfer was awesome!

Cheeky was a figure of speech in relation to when they discuss potential transfers by name etc. with the media such as how Pep Segura did it last week about 2 players, neither of them Barcelona players yet, saying both transfers were "close".
Like I say, English clubs are not used to this generally so it looks "cheeky" but I believe it will creep more and more into the English way over the next number of years. Guardiola refused to talk about Jonny Evans in a press conference in Thurs or Fri, I'm pretty sure if he was still manager of Barcelona he'd have a different approach but hey ho, each to their own and in all honesty I couldn't care less what way it's done so long as it's legal and clean.
