Note too self next time try to edit post without accidentally pressing send. Was a great performance tonight. Out of all the positives I'm most made up for Gomez. After square tomatoe hinting his dip in form was more than just because of injury as well as all the abuse he recieved after the sterling fiasco I thought he deserved to catch a break more than most. So glad to see him returning to his imperious form and forming that solid partnership with VD again resulting in the clean sheets racking up. He looked self assured, composed and in control, long may it continue.

On a separate note I read we have been given permission to wear the gold club world cup shield on our shirt for one prem game. Not sure if it works like this but out of interest who would people choose to wear it against and why?
