I know we all want Klopp to stay for a long time (fingers crossed) . But when the dreaded day comes, I assume he will have earmarked a suitable replacement for himself. What do you guys think?

Doesn't Stevie G's new contract at Rangers run out at exactly the same time as Klopp's? (2024).

Look how it turned out when when Fergie earmarked his replacement 😂.

We are potentially looking at another 4 and a half years before he leaves. Anything can happen before then.

Johnny, SG should stay well away from the LFC job or vice-versa until he has proved himself at the highest level. Why? I will explain. By the time Klopp leaves LFC, we may be (I truly hope) at the very top of European football as one of the top 5 teams in the world with another CL or hopefully, 2 PL's (provided we bag this season's titles), the LFC managerial job will be one of if not, THE biggest jobs in football and we cannot afford another unproven (club legend or not) manager to replace a club monument like Klopp. If Stevie is able to make the grade then so be it. If he is not at the level at that time then, I would not want him here.

As to who can replace Herr Klopp, let's enjoy his next 3 years first and have that conversation at that time cos right now, we should be enjoying our season where our boys are giving it loads game in, game out.

Unless SG comes back as a assistant or Klopp stays on as a DoF, I'd be starting a new boot room promotion tradition with Linders, there's a culture here that needs nurturing.

If the current trajectory of the club continues, as it is now, we will correctly be at the highest level of World football. How do you give the manager's job to someone who has only a past as a player (Gerrard) or a past as an assistant manager (Ljinders), and has won nothing. Absolutely nothing, yet. It's mighty risky and millions ride on this kind of question. Look at the Emery situation at Arsenal. Even past pedigree as a winning coach doesn't guarantee future success. Sure Arsenal have now appointed Arteta, who has not managed before, but that's because the club has probably decided on a "build from the ground up" decision, and really have no choice. Would any of us like that strategy right after Klopp left? (Suddenly I got a shiver from remembering "the club is still in transition" years, LOL) .
