President of Atletico had a few interesting comments, especially about Anfield. Seems bizarre for a high standing official of a large club to be making those sort of statements. I really hope we knock them out the competition.

I didn't hear it. But I'm pissed with athletic and I want to apologise for my defeatist attitude yesterday. We WERE the better team. And I dunno what everyone is worried about. It's going to be a totally different game at anfield. We will be totally dominant and I'd bet my life that we sweep athletico aside with ease. I hope the boys do it with class and don't get involved with any silly business. I reckon we'll equalise within ten minutes. And then I see a 4/ 5 0 job. They aren't all that.

Robbie, you don't need to apologize for a darn thing, man BUT I respect your doing it. It only shows how thoughtful an individual you are. Now I don't think we were the better team and I do think we played poorly and that gave us no chance nor hope to get something from the game.

Having said that, Athletico will have to come to our house at Anfield and at that time, time for trash-talking will be over and then, we will see who gets the last laugh. Klopp said it best, "Now we know who we are dealing with".

We were the better team RM. Just because we lost, it doesn't mean they were better. If that were the case the best team in the country would win the fa Cup. But looking back, that's not the case. I remember a Cardiff-Portsmouth final, villa and Everton have won it in recent memory.
We had more of the ball and were all over them. I think we'll smash them at anfield. I'm not worried at all.
