First time poster here but have been an avid reader of this site for years - always wanted to contribute but never had time!

I’ve read a lot of posts on here about the reason for the drop off this year and to me it’s pretty obvious that playing Fabinho and some times hendo at the back has thrown off the whole balance of the team.

My main concern though and actually for a couple of years has been the front 3. Even when we won the league last year we won a lot of games by the odd goal with a much more controlled playing style than when Klopp first took over.

I don’t the possession based football we play now particularly suits any of our front 3 as they are all very instinctive players. When given time on the ball mane and Salah in particular are awful and don’t seem to be able to pass a ball 5 yards. If we had someone in the front 3 who had pace and could actually pick a pass rather than always having the play break down I believe we would have fared much better this year even with all the injury issues.

Be keen to hear if others have noticed this and what people’s thoughts are.
