I think it's important to note that JK hasn't actually had much time with the whole squad yet. With so many injuries it's almost impossible for him to work out what we need right now (queue the people screaming that we need a striker and a GK) . For me Origi coming back is a boost, even if he's not a 20 goal a season striker what he does through his movement and pressing (which Benteke doesn't do) is free up space for the likes of firmino, coutinho to score more goals. The only thing that worries me in all honesty is the likes of Stoke, Everton, West Ham and Leicester who seem to be buying really well and developing there squds.

{Ed002's Note - I am sure the fans will come up with plenty more excuses for Klipperty as time moves on.}

Agree2 Disagree3

I won't.

He has made mistakes and is hopefully learning that the league is different.

Still love him though.

01 Feb 2016 17:32:45
Fsg haven't got the money to compete, if they think just bringing Klopp in is enough there idiots. Klopp must be shocked how average our squad is.

I expected more from this window really, summer will be the same.

01 Feb 2016 17:41:18
The pot calling the kettle black there fat cat I believe. How can you say they "haven't got the money to compete". It's baffling really.

01 Feb 2016 18:03:58
Fat cat are you serious? If you follow the site the ed's tell us constantly that the club isn't self sufficient and we are close to being fined and transfer bans, the owners couldn't put much more in if they wanted to mate.

01 Feb 2016 18:04:18
FSG have been good owners and have always backed the manager when they can, it's not there fault on which players the money gets spent on.

01 Feb 2016 18:08:30
Klopp could punch my mum and steal my girlfriend. I'll still love him ed :)

01 Feb 2016 18:14:06
Well not entirely true Mighty Reds. Leadership starts at the very top and works its way down. Whether its who they put in charge of the overall club, the chairman, transfer committee, the manager, the scouts, the players picked. Are you saying that it wasnt a mistake by Fsg to employ Rodgers?

01 Feb 2016 17:38:47
Hi ED02, just been reading your not so subtle remarks abt Klopp.

What is the real deal, what has he done wrong? I am kind of lost because I really like him and feel we are lucky to have him. Sincerely believe he can get us back top. Obviously you feel something different?

Is it because of his recalling players who were on loan and the Caulker purchase both of which have increased the wage bill. Or is it something else?

Not having a dig at you, just want to know.

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained before, he is not the person everyone has elevated him to be. It is true he had some success a few years ago but for reasons I don't ungerstand he has been elevated to the position of guru by the fans. Look at the results when he stupidly allowed Gerred in to the first team training - I can't think of any other club in the world that would have allowed that to happen. The bonding and gung-ho period is well and truly over if you cannot get the results to match - and he hasn't.}

01 Feb 2016 17:40:17
Eds do I detect a hint of sarcasm there mate? You think Klipperty has screwed up on a few decisions?

{Ed002's Note - What I am saying is that he isn't the person everyone seels to have him down as.}

01 Feb 2016 17:53:14
Wouldn't it be wrong to start criticizing after a few months? If we did now, wouldn't that make us fickle? Give us at least till next season ed002!

{Ed002's Note - Why not a couple of seasons of transitions.}

01 Feb 2016 17:58:06
if we had the foresight of the huge amounts of money we would have wasted, we would have money to compete. the fact that we'd rather spend 100's of millions on players who don't improve what we have when we could just splash the cash for special players (if no ones available, don't buy anyone) like 1 or 2 players a year, and use the players we have.

are club think they need to splash the cash because the players the manager chooses to play are not performing well, and each window seems to be replacing average players with average players, while the youth get shafted.

clubs around us are doing well because they spend when necessary.

01 Feb 2016 18:35:00
I wonder if ed001 would care to comment on ed002's thoughts on klopp?
Let's see if we can start a fight. Haha.

01 Feb 2016 18:38:09
I think Klopp will be great for our club if given time and patience.

01 Feb 2016 18:44:56
Don't worry I'm sure u would have him at Chelsea ed2.

{Ed002's Note - It has nothing to do with Chelsea of course. Just another embarrassing post from a Liverpool fan. Idiot.}

01 Feb 2016 19:06:06
It's called banter. On a banter page.

01 Feb 2016 19:15:22
Wow Klopp is elevated to a guru? No one is elevating him, he is a talented manager and he has a great personality. It is clear this is not his squad, there is little balance and he is still finding his depth. Regarding Gerrard to the squad in the off season, it has happened plenty of times, Henry trained with the Arsenal first team during his New York stint. I gather the insinuation is that Gerrard was the cause for some bad results, for being a negative presence or something. Which is utter folly if that is the case.
Bottom line is Klopp deserves time and judging on prior merits he will do well with a mediocre squad. I mean Mourinho, Ferguson, Guardiola, Shankley whoever wouldn't do anything with our current team.

01 Feb 2016 19:09:49
Ed just on your comments about Gerrard in training and the impact on results. I remember asking the Eds whether there was any correlation between the 2 and was categorically told there was not. Are you now saying that Gerrards influence had a negative effect on results?

{Ed002's Note - I told you before it happened that it was a potential problem and a very, very stupid thing for the manager to buy in to.}

01 Feb 2016 19:10:52
#banter
I was merly .................

{Ed002's Note - Actually you were "merly" being stupid and then you changed your username and posted a very embarrassing post indeed - making you look like a complete jerk and bringing ignominity on the Liverpool supporters. Great job.}

01 Feb 2016 19:38:08
Hehehe! Please not another year of transition! we have been transitioning for god knows how long! And you are right about gerrard being allowed to train. That decision surprised me and not in a good way.

01 Feb 2016 19:42:05
Ed02, those calling/ considering klopp a guru are doing him a great disservice because he himself has said, he isn`t a genius and that he would make mistakes which is normal as he is not perfect. Personally, I don`t care if he makes mistakes provided he`s learning from them as all managers make mistakes. And Fat Cat, saying the owners have no money to compete is laughable. Is over 400M spent since their arrival on players not enuff for you or should we keep racking up debts just make you feel happy that we are now "competing"? They may get the blame for hiring BR but that`s about it. Stop blaming them for no reason. It`s embarassing.

{Ed002's Note - You are right, Klopp may well do OK. The issue with the money is that folks don't see it from the perspective of the owners. If the club was a house, at what point does it become evident that adding to the mortgage to repaint all of the rooms twice a year is not a good business model.}

01 Feb 2016 20:43:46
Well that depends on how much profit you want to make on your house. How much clear profit do you think Fsg will walk away with Ed? Also if you are repainting your room twice a year its because you must have made a cock up the first time.

{Ed002's Note - Right now they would struggle to make much of a profit taking account of loans and third party debts.}

01 Feb 2016 21:49:09
Surely the better way of looking at it ED is say you manage to buy buckingham palace for 72p and a mars bar, and then when you move in you realise you can't pay the heating and electric, after how many pay-day loans do you sell to someone who can?

{Ed002's Note - The owners did not get the club on the cheap.}
