afternoon eds. i know you said that any defenders would have to be moved on before we looked to sign any but surely the club are concerned with lovren and matips inability to stay fit? this is our first centre back pairing and they can't get a run of games. with the possibility of Lucas and Sakho leaving, gomez and klavan is not sufficient cover.

{Ed002's Note - Other clubs manage perfectly well with four centre backs which is what Klopp wanted as well. Sakho is not available because of Klopp. The training regime is responsible for the muscle injuries.}

Sakho himself could not stay fit for a long period under both BR and Klopp. We definitely need a new CB to replace Lucas (deserves to play regularly elsewhere) and Klavan (not good enough) . If we don't sort out our CB conundrum, then next season is going to be one big disappointment with all the additional games and our attack will tire out at some pint meaning our defenders will need to do their jobs better than what they have done this season.

Hey ed, would you be willing to share some technical know-how on the specifics of the training process that Klopp is implementing? I am really curious on the matter.

My personal take on the whole "Klopp's methods lead to more injuries" question: It is a curious conundrum, but as a dimwit with no actual knowledge on how the process works I would support the coach in his decisions. If more frequent injuries are the price the pay for the dynamic style of football we play, then so be it. I like Klopp's style, but if it was without drawbacks then everyone and their dog (and Sparky) would be using it, I guess. Still, if there is room of adjustments, then let us hope he finds them.

{Ed002's Note - I don't want to open this up again but the players are pushed too hard and that results in muscle injuries.}

Ed002 Sakho is not available cuz of his stupid behaviour. not cuz of Klopp.

{Ed002's Note - No, he has not been available to play for Liverpool because Klopp does not want him - it is entirely the fault of Klopp - nobody else.}

I don't see the banishing of a disruptive player who takes responsibility for anything wrong he has done, as being the fault of the manager. Sahko only cares about Sahko and to keep him while he continues to disrespect and flout the manager's orders would be dereliction of duty and a slap in the face of his authority. Many may not wanna hear that BUT I'm happy that there are still managers who believe in team chemistry and harmony and will not tolerate insubordination. BTW It's not as if Sahko was Paulo Maldini while he was here, was it?

Clearly, Klopp was right as we are third in the PL and if many think he would have improved us, I sure haven't seen this improvement as he's been here for 3 years where we conceded 150 goals in the PL in that span.

I fully back Klopp on this one. 1 chance, 2nd chance, 3rd chance. otherwise where does it stop for the entire squad.

I have to agree with Ed002 here. You can only blame Klopp for the Sakho fiasco. Not initially as I do believe punishment was needed. Sakho's behaviour was getting out of hand BUT after that Sakho played for the reserves with no issues and has knuckled down and just got on with doing his best for Palace which shows more maturity than Klopp's pig headedness. All Klopp has to do is say ok you've took your punishment like a man and shown the willingnessto work and dig in I wanted and I respect that but you are on your final warning, welcome back and it's problem solved.
