There is a photo of one of the Villa players doing a Kung fu studs up kick right by Mane’s head just after he has headed in the corner. Would VAR have awarded a penalty (or indirect free kick)? Aside from the technique of Mane. Bloody brave header.

I saw that, OP. Not a penalty for me. To your point, if the ref could not see a blatant handball in the box and VAR would not check that (I wonder why, Martin Atkinson), then I would not hold my breath on that one, mate.
