Question for Eds002 if he's got time.

Do you think the inflationary bubble in player transfer fees is likely to burst sometime soon (particularly at the top end of the market) .

Neymar is costing a mill per goal not factoring in his transfer fee, chuck that in and the cost spread over his contract is twice as much.

Coutinio not going well

Ronaldo, whispers of discontent.

Pogba, Bale.

These were all huge investments, does the marketing revenue cover the costs?
If not the merry-go-round has to stop at some point, and throwing all your FFP eggs in one basket is starting bite teams on the ass.

{Ed002's Note - There are only a few sides that can afford significant fees and wages, which means the very high end players are limited where they can move to. The increased money coming in to the game, particularly for EPL sides and elite sides from elsewhere mean that mid range players can fetch well over the odds - I spent the summer explaining that Pepe was not worth anything like the asking price. EPL sides have to often pay a premium on players because of the money they have. You will not see the immediate end to this, but you may see things slowing down. One or two English sides may well make significant investment to refreshing aging and out of favour players - that won’t help the cause.}

Cheers Eds, seems madness to me, 250mil for a stroppy, egotistical chap like Neymar the world's gone mad.

He ain't even that good, hyped to the max.

I used to think Neymar was over hyped but then saw him numerous times live at Barcelona and he was incredible. Often unbelievable. Then he got too big for boots and has turned in to what you see now though there is still the ability when can be bothered.
