ed001 come the summer do you think we might add to the forwards in the squad with looking to the Afcon Salah and mane will be a massive loss. I know we will have Origi Minamino and may be Shaqiri. If they go a long way in the Afcon, that's a long time for just 3 Forwards in January with all the games that seem to come. that time could make or break are season. and I can I ask why they run the Afcon every 2 years rather than 4 like most other international tournaments is it just a money thing to try to bring more money into the region. If so with all the money in Fifa should not more go there to help the game over there in some of the poorest countries in the world.

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea why Afcon is every 2 years sorry. As for the summer, a lot will depend on how Brewster gets on, as he was seen as a back up before picking up injuries. It is only 3 players gone for a month and one of them is always injured. If we can't cope without the other two for a short period like that, then we really don't deserve to win anything.

The most important effect is not really related to Liverpool as such, but I can't see many European teams wanting to recruit too many African players. It is basically putting a quota on African players in Europe, as no team is going to want to have more than 2 or 3 in their squad. Especially the teams with less money, that would otherwise have considered dipping into the market for a bargain.}
