Just wondered if your opinion has changed at all on the possible void of all football in the UK including the PL? Surely it's going to go beyond just playing behind closed doors? Could it be postponed and all games rescheduled at a later date let's say mid April for example? There is the financial side also with lots of clubs chasing promotion or avoiding relegation etc.

{Ed002's Note - It is a dynamic situation. The best option for most of the leagues would be to put everything on hold, cancel international friendles, move the Euros to next season and then finish the leagues in the summer assuming the situation improves. But right now it looks like England may skip the behind closed door stage.}

That seems the most sensible option there Ed002.

Gives a chance to get on top of the situation, make suitable rearrangements and minimise the lost revenue to the clubs that need it the most if the matches can be rearranged to allow for crowd attendance.

I saw something in the news that the problem with having games behind closed doors is that the fans would congregate elsewhere and be harder to control. So as they need to ensure the emergency services are prioritised to dealing with the virus, I can't see any alternative.

Well there you go, its official, all postponed until at least 3rd April. Apart from National League games scheduled for tomorrow.

Makes sense Ed. Would there be enough weeks left though to finish all the leagues if it were to start again in April. Guess nil and void is looking likely then now, our wait go’s on but life is more important than football.

Having said that I really hope we can resume the season in April even if it’s behind closed doors and we get the league over the line. Chances of them awarding the teams who currently sit 1st as winners and same with promotion relegation etc?
