Ed001- once again you called it spot on as regards to pep, i was watching the game yesterday and apart from KDB
and David Silva i have to say i would not want any other of there players.
Has any other manager in the history of the game spent as much on defenders and ended up with as much mediocrity as city currently have?
I cannot help but feel if pep actually enjoyed the teams he built instead of micro- managing every little detail the players would not be scared to death to make a mistake, either in defence or in attack.
Luckily for him he can no doubt go on another massive spending spree, after all even a broken clock is right twice a day, the law of averages suggests he must finally sign a quality full back or centre half eventually.
I would be amazed if he wins the CL with this defence.

{Ed001's Note - it is bizarre that they have only managed to sign one good defender with all that money. Laporte is fantastic to be fair. He did want VVD as well, so he did spot one other good defender. Balancing that out is that he missed out on Maguire, so it is only one other good defender.....}

Can you imagine Klopp lecturing anyone who just scored a brace while winning the FA Cup final 6-0.

Spent over £100 Million last summer to go from 98 points to 81 at best this year.

Failed to replace their most influential player/ leader of the last decade.

Im surprised more City players aren't sick of his constant nitpicking. They may struggle to get past Real Madrid despite their first leg lead as Madrid are bang on form at the moment.

Pep said it himself that he can only coach his style of football with world class players. If that is the case, why does this City team not seem to be able to defend that the Bald One has bought? Why am I even asking? The guy said he dreamed about playing 11 midfielders in his starting lineup. Go figure.

As for Maguire, I now see why Pep wanted him based on those stats about highest interceptions and most completed passes. The guy is only interested in a defender's ability to pass the ball. A defender's ability to actually defend properly? Couldn't be arsed in the least bit.
