There’s nothing wrong with other clubs being interested in our ‘star’ players. I see it as a compliment as it highlights how good they are. If any clubs are serious about singing these players then the club will either give them a price they will need to pay or tell them they’re not for sale.

It’s funny really isn’t it as aren’t we after a player who has just won the league and champions league with his club who still want him to sign a contract. But we can’t accept that one of our players wants to look at other opportunities.

If he does go, that’s just part of the game. The important thing is replacing him adequately. That’s the bit I’m not confident about as the names being bandied about aren’t anywhere near as good.

Mane’s positives and negatives:-

+ positive never say die attitude - souness called him a Warrior
+ scores with both feet and his head and guarantees 15-20 goals per season
+ decent at the press and tracks back and defends very effectively
+ pace and strength - hardly ever shrugged off ball and excellent playing on break
+ can play on either wing so flexible if injuries to other players

- shooting could be better, misses some easy chances
- passing could be better and playing the right ball when we are breaking at pace.

And this exactly is why we should have signed Werner early in the window. And this why we should plan for backups as you don't know what happens. we always keep it late.

Mane’s positives

+ Doesn't have a weaker foot. The power he generates with his left foot is enormous.

+ Could play either side, Can cut inside, and also hit the byline. Excellent in both

+Strong as a bull

+ Made the career of Andy Robertson by allowing him to overlap. The defensive work he does itself makes him irreplaceable.

+ Most importantly, Klopp wanted him at BVB nearly 10 years ago.
first major signing under Klopp era. Single-handedly got us Top 4, Sacrificed his natural side for Salah.

+. A world-class player who is hitting his absolute peak and unlike most he wouldn't flop at barca.
