Can’t wait for Thiago to be announced.

This is probably the first time I remember is signing a player who most people have no doubts on and would get in most teams in the world. Of course the likes of salah mane vvd would but possibly not thought so at the time of signing, and although they played as world class players basically from day 1, they were no signed expecting that.

He has three main points for me;

1) experienced winner, and big name. It shows the stature of the club that we can sign a player of his ilk with little competition. A new signing of this Calibre must also be a boost for the players

2) in games with non crowd, I would worry there may be times we lack intensity. Thiago can control games, and hopefully keep us ticking. He also can unlock defences that play deep and sit back

3) he seems a good guy. He shouldn’t cause issues in the changing room, he will adopt Klopps way of playing and play for the team.

He’s to 4 years (hopefully), and hopefully he can stay fit, bed straight in and help us win some more trophies!
