So apologies if this has been discussed before. if rumors were true and we signed Konate would a back 3 be in the mix? Thoughts? From my understanding he's a ball playing CB who has pace. A high line with Konate Gomez and VVD, still have our fb's as wingbacks. giving up a MF or FW though.

Our CBs are coming back from major injuries. They won't be fit for every game and it makes sense to rotate them when needed.
We'll need another defender even playing 2 CBs so I wouldn't move to 3.
On a personal note I also hate the formation with 3 at the back. Takes an attacking player out of the team and IMO makes a team less fun to watch.

Virgil Van Dijk was the best player on the planet last year, my opinion. He should have gotten the Ballon d'Or.
