I think FSG just want to give fans the impression that they really want to sign Keita in order to appease them when in fact they won't pay the money. Every summer, we dream about good, exciting signings but it never happens.

Goretzka for half of that wouldn't be bad either he's been excellent for schalke this season. Probably the closest thing to Gerrard.

Mk if you had actually watched Keita last season you would realise he's a quality player who would undoubtedly improve our team. If we don't sign him I'm nearly certain that Bayern will sign him next Summer. That's the type of level we are talking about.

How can you be anywhere near certain what Bayern Munich will do in a years time? Nobody here truly even knows what Liverpool will do today!
RBL could finish 12th next season with Keita having a massive case of second season syndrome. Then nobody will be interested. 12 months ago everyone hear was saying we should've signed Mahrez instead of Mane. Who would say that now?
I am not anti-Keita. I can see he is a good player. You don't pay that much money for good players though. The figures being quoted are what you pay for proven world class players. It is insanity. Why not give Grujic a shot instead of breaking the bank on someone with similar first team football experience?

MK calls Kieta a one season wonder but would happily pay £30 mill for Ox who has never had a good 2 months of decent football all his life!
RBL could actually win the league next season!
Kieta is nothing like anyone in our squad! He is a DM + CM + ACM all in one package and excels in all thrrr department. Hence the big money!

HL, FSG don't sign players as they put people in charge of doing that so why you are slating them is beyond belief.
Spot on, MK and Flash. People are only disappointed cos thy refused to take a hint from both Saints and RBL who categorically stated that said players are not for sale.
We could get better players for a combined 140m but hey, the fans who keep wetting themselves over us dropping stupid money on one overrated CB who has massive flaws to his game and another one season wonder (I have actually seen NK play and he is talented but severely unproven) . That is nobody else's fault but their own as both players were never for sale. If they wanna whinge then go ahead but stop slating the owners for our transfer team targeting of players that are not interested in moving to us or whose club refuse to sell. That's where the problem is.

That is incorrect, sir. Just to clarify. The big money on Keita's head is cos RBL don't want to sell and per their DOF, they won't be selling not even for 100m so is he now suddenly a 100m player cos his DOF said so?
His current price tag has nothing to do with the player's value as his release clause is only rumoured to be 48m (don't know if it's euros or pounds) so even RBL never thought he was worth 70m or 100m even tho they signed him from RB Salzburg for 12.5m. Just stating the facts, people.
