Please let's not call Jota the back up any more it's disrespectful and just not true. He is the best finisher we have and if he stays fit will get 20 pl goals.

Mark08 great goal yesterday but as a centre forward he is not in the game enough his build up play is nowhere near at Booby's level and still for me he plays best from the left. So you would have to really choice between him and Mane long term as if long term am sure Klopp will find somebody to fight for Bobby's place.

I prefer Jota against sides that sit deep, where we need a CF in the box and there's not enough room for Salah and Mane to run in behind. His movement and finishing in the box can be crucial. Against the sides like Man City though, I think I'd still go for Firmino and Jota off the bench as they tire.

Great to have genuine competition/ options!

Klopp seems to think Jota is better through the middle than the left mate. First half Jota wasn’t really involved but I thought he grew more into the game in the 2nd half. Bobby came on and the ball came into him and he took it on the chest turned out and I was like that is fantastic. He had fooled the Burnley defence and we literally had half the pitch to counter attack into. Sadly he then passed the ball to straight to a Burnley player when the pass to I think Salah or Elliot was so easily on.

The great thing is that any of the front 4 coming off the bench will be a nightmare for any team we play against. It’s probably the last thing a centre back or DM wants to see in the 70th min with fatigue is a fresh Bobby coming on who will put the pressure on them immediately.

The more he gets played there the better he will become, as early as gameweek 2 i’m seeing signs of improvement from him as i thought some of his battling and hold up play yesterday was very good. Give him time to improve his all round game and he will, he possesses exceptional goalscoring instincts and that is a far rarer and intangible quality for a player to have.

It's all about mindset and skill set. Jota and Firmino are different type of CF's. Jota is far more clinical and is focused on scoring. Firmino is more of an all round skilled player who has redefined what a successful CF can be (helping others score and being the first line of defence) . Maybe Jota will add to his skills. Maybe Klopp will decide he wants to stay with Jota's skills. Maybe we'll see Firmino start at away games and see Jota start at home games. Not bad at all to have options to throw at teams.

At the moment Jota is in the team ahead of Firmino, I see no reason to change that atm. Salah is of course a better player but as a pure finisher in the box I would side with Jota.

Ed025, u have now cursed yourself. Mark my words that Firmino will come off the bench to score against Everton twice this season. We’ll have a Chat then if you prefer the Origi goal or Firmino’s late winners. =D.
