If the scouting is done properly and the manager listens to what he is being advised, then bargains will always be found.

Koopmeiners js painfully slow, overweight and has the turning circle of a cross channel ferry. He’d be shown up badly for his lack of fitness, lack of pace and lack of mobility. Just a Dutch Charlie Adams. Feel sorry for MacAllister and Szoboszlai walking into this mess.

What you're telling us is that whatever they do you won't approve of it. Have you tried supporting madrid, Bayern or Chelsea? They splash cash all the time and are constantly buying new players maybe you would be happier supporting them?
Salah wasn't first choice and was extremely cheap even by today's standards and now he's one of the greatest players in the history of Liverpool. On the flip side one of our most expensive transfers was keita. The price does not denote quality. Stop complaining.

Nevada, we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel if we’re going for players like Phillips, Koopmeiners, Amrabat, Adams or Palhinha, not because of their price, but because they’re quite frankly woeful.
Thunderbird, so what I’m being negative? Tell me one positive that’s come out of this farce? We look completely amateur, disorganised and incompetent. We’ve known Fabinho and Henderson were likely to go about 4 weeks ago and yet here we are still fiddling whilst Rome burns.
As for who I’d sign, it’s pretty academic and doesn’t really matter as we’re now in panic mode which never ever ends well, as Balotelli, Caroll, Caulker, Davies, Kabak and Arthur demonstrate. If we had any sense at all we’d be going for Fofana, Kone, Varela, maybe Redondo, but we won’t be going for any of those so it’s irrelevant. 15 days left of this window to save our season, feels like Groundhog Day as we were here last season saying the same things.

@VV, ‘the right player at the right price’, mate. A player doesn’t have to be a star in his own right to be able to improve a team. For instance would we be better buying Bellingham or Mac Alister and Szoboszlai? Bellingham, pound for pound is clearly the best player of the three but a combination of Mac Alister, Szoboszlai and, say, Koopmeiners would add far more to the team.
The club’s valuation, all clubs’ valuation of a players, needs to be placed in the context of what a club is trying to achieve and what pieces of the puzzle are, issuing to reach their goal.
So saying ‘x’ isn’t very good, per se, might be true but doesn’t mean they can’t offer value to a team.

We’ve needed 3 midfielders and a centre half since last season. How we’ve left it this late is nothing other than poor management. Messing about with bellingham, caicedo and lavia when it looks as though none of them had any interest in joining is embarrassing. 2 players short of having a strong balanced squad if you ask me.
