Hi all,

Liverpool have received encouragement from PSG to submit a formal bid for Barcola. A verbal bid in the region of 85 million pound has been touted in previous talks.

Barcola’s camp is pushing for the move.

Thanks, VG, great to hear!

23 Jul 2026 10:15:20
God damn, Vic, I hope this is true!

I am very excited by the prospect of getting him in, feel like he is something we are missing, as he will actually go at defenders and cross the ball, something our current wingers (Gakpo) don't do. Think that's how we get the best out of Isak but giving him service instead of playing through the lines constantly.

5

23 Jul 2026 10:20:59
Good news and thanks, Vic, for the update, but don't understand where Barcola fits in LFC squad once Ekitike is back and Isak fit (if he is ever). He plays either LW or striker these days, although I believe at Lyon he was a RW.

I think he is great and worth the hype and interest, but don't see why needed unless we are willing to give him time to adjust.

23 Jul 2026 10:28:42
Would love to know how much we've spent trying to fill the hole that Sadio Mane left.

10

23 Jul 2026 10:32:12
This would be most excellent if we can get it done. Nice one, VG.

1

23 Jul 2026 10:38:33
LFC8, not sure we have spent that much really. We recruited Gakpo in Jan 23, with Sadio having left in Jun 22. Jota also covered.

The only expensive LW we have therefore bought since Mane is Gakpo, and his feel was (give or take) £40m, which we would at least recoup that and most likely make a decent markup.

I like what I have seen of Barcola, so if a deal can be done then great.

5

23 Jul 2026 10:44:05
Nice, cheers VG!

23 Jul 2026 10:48:19
Didn't we say the same when we signed Salah Strado? Mane played on the right and was ripping it up, so why did we need a right winger?

The rest is history.

Barcola is a quality winger who we can utilise on both wings and even through the middle.

He gives us options and raw pace, which we are sorely missing.

Isak, Wirtz, Munoz, Ekitike, Rio, Barcola, Gakpo/Diomande. Any combination of those players would give me confidence that we have the firepower to win a lot of football matches.

8

23 Jul 2026 10:50:42
He'll be fantastic. Bring him on!! Great actual info. VG. You're one of the very few reliables. imo anyway!

4

23 Jul 2026 10:57:47
Top man, VG. Thanks.

1

23 Jul 2026 10:58:10
@Riosstepover,
Who is our Mane? We have no solid winger - Salah's gone, Gakpo is certainly no Mane, and we have Ekitike and Isak as CF who will eventually come back to the first team. I agree, Barcola is great, but I don't see where he belongs unless you're willing to let your namesake go.

Munoz has more capability to play both wings than Barcola at this point, but I guess we see what happens. It may be that there is no clear Salah successor.

2

23 Jul 2026 11:13:45
@Chicken, "He will actually go at defenders and cross the ball, something our current wingers (Gakpo) don't do."
Are you sure? The Athletic piece yesterday very much seems to show that he prefers to cut inside, just like Gakpo does.
Even at the WC, it was more often than not Mbappe out wide than Barcola, who was mainly a sub, and always playing on the left.

For £40m, I might take a punt it would work, but for the sums being discussed, it seems more likely that he would disrupt the game of others rather than enhance the team.

2

23 Jul 2026 11:35:30
I'd argue we've signed a lot more than just Gakpo trying to replace Mane. With how versatile and interchangeable Mane and Firmino were (both able to play LW or CF), we've pretty much exclusively been trying to replace them up to now as Salah was a mainstay at RW and has only just left.

Chiesa, Gakpo, Diaz, Jota, Nunez, Isak, Wirtz etc have all been signed to play LW and/or CF. You could easily argue that none of them have reached the standards set by our Sadio and Bobby. Now, we've signed Munoz as well so hopefully this time will be different.

1

23 Jul 2026 11:38:14
Never replaced Mane, what an odd discussion. If we have a hole at LW, it surely must be a Diaz-shaped one. Did alright for us, I'd say.

Not 100% convinced by Barcola. He gets past defenders for fun, but not really the end product to show for it.

Then again, neither did Salah before he came to us. If he hits the gym and learns to produce like Mo did, I won't mind FSG bringing their big wallet on their Paris trip.

1

23 Jul 2026 11:48:44
I don't know what WC you were watching ADS. And 40m . you wouldn't even buy Sancho with that loose change. Wake up.

1

23 Jul 2026 12:04:36
Ads Barcola was France's starting left wing. He only came out the side for Doue when he was on a yellow, and Deschamps was protecting him against a 1 match ban.

In comparison to Gakpo, I would have thought that it was plain to see he's a hell of a lot faster, so although they're both inside forwards, Barcola has the pace to get past his marker before crossing or shooting, unlike Gakpo, whose main move this year has been 'boot it at a crowd of defenders and hope for the best'.

So either the Mittal Family or Bezos are playing on buying a 30% share in the club which will value us at 4.5 billion. Personally, I wouldn't mind having the 4th richest man on the planet investing in us. We might finally be able to compete (I have Ed002 rip in my head telling me it doesn't work that way).

7

23 Jul 2026 09:26:09
I know it was embarrassing how little we spent last summer snapping up those bargain basement players like Wirtz and Isak.

18

23 Jul 2026 09:28:17
"We might finally be able to compete."

With the exception of last season, have we not been competing?

10

23 Jul 2026 09:29:39
I thought that Bezos was negotiating to potentially be part of the consortium being led by Lakshmi Mittal's son-in-law?

6

23 Jul 2026 09:33:03
We might finally be able to compete?
We won the League last year.

5

23 Jul 2026 09:42:41
And then spent over £200m on two players... If only we could compete.

6

23 Jul 2026 09:42:57
AFAIK, Bezos was approached by the Mittal consortium to co invest, but he declined.

5

23 Jul 2026 09:50:33
Unbelievable, Jeff.

6

23 Jul 2026 09:51:56
If Bezos, Musk or any of those types come anywhere near Liverpool, then I'm out. The club we love should be better than that.

6

23 Jul 2026 10:18:08
Rich owners don’t mean the club can spend more money. 😂 We’ve seen that with Newcastle. Even if Bezos were to pay £2Bn for 30%, that 2Bn goes to Fenway & Henry, not to Liverpool to spend.

The only benefit to having rich owners is you wouldn’t necessarily need to loan money from banks for a credit facility or for infrastructure, as some owners would provide interest free loans to their clubs.

So you’d avoid interest payments, but that’s mostly the only benefit to it.

4

23 Jul 2026 10:38:11
Having more investment might mean investing more into the ground and updating the Kop and Kenny Stand and the infrastructure at some point, which in turn makes more profit.

1

23 Jul 2026 10:39:22
Nijusho, unfortunately for some modern day fans, spending the most money is competing, and they don't recognise the achievements we have made over the last 10 years without spending the most money. I tend to just ignore these comments, but you are completely right calling this person out.

Unbelievable post. Haha.

2

23 Jul 2026 10:40:51
I could understand a Newcastle fan saying this, but a so called Liverpool fan saying "then we finally might be able to compete?"

Mental! Just mental!

I have seen it all now.

5

23 Jul 2026 11:01:06
Nijusho70, you didn't get the memo. All that dough from last summer was just "Start-Up money". We weren't doing that to compete, obviously.

Absolutely mental the types of things we are being afflicted with on this forum at times.

2

23 Jul 2026 11:16:19
None of the investment will find its way to transfer payments, is my guess. Apart from the fact that the spending rules don't really allow it, this just allows FSG to take some profit from the successful business they have built over the last 15 years or so.

2

23 Jul 2026 12:08:28
Johnz is right. How many times have FSG splashed the cash, twice really, the rest of the time it's been 2 in or 2 out or spending what we've earned. Now we're losing money on all these free transfers n, let's face it, without Klopp working miracles, managing on FSG budget we'd be like Spurs. So give me a multi billionaire any day of the week, we need all we can muster.

22 Jul 2026 21:37:16
Anyone aware of interest in Arnau Martinez?
Hearing murmurings but nothing solid.

5

22 Jul 2026 23:04:30
Nah, but it was mentioned here a week or two ago.

1

22 Jul 2026 23:30:44
Would be a smart low cost move.

3

22 Jul 2026 21:24:59
Did anyone see the Instagram post by Tim Sherwood today saying Mbappe is coming to the Premier League?

2

22 Jul 2026 22:38:15
Haha, good one.

5

22 Jul 2026 22:43:41
Wait, Tim Sherwood got on the Internet all by himself, that's remarkable!

I would always advise not listening to Tim Sherwood.

26

22 Jul 2026 22:42:14
That's for the Darts Premier League?

2

22 Jul 2026 23:06:47
What game is he coming to watch?

2

22 Jul 2026 23:35:36
That was AI Tim Sherwood, apparently.

2

23 Jul 2026 01:45:50
Probably signing for Chelsea.

4

22 Jul 2026 23:53:59
Dim Sherwood? I'm assuming he tweeted after his lunch of crayons and persil pods.

11

23 Jul 2026 08:17:02
The world was crying out for an AI Tim Sherwood. We are so lucky to have this technology. They are currently working on AI Keith Chegwin.

2

23 Jul 2026 09:24:06
Love that VV, ... that's class haha.

0

23 Jul 2026 11:18:30
There has been a lot of chat in Spain about Mbappe potentially leaving Madrid. Potential big money incomings there, off the pitch issues, etc. The reality check, though, is he's still hitting amazing numbers, and who could afford him. City, maybe if they offloaded Haaland.

0

23 Jul 2026 11:02:40
Never forgot the day Ed01 called him "Dim" Sherwood.

1

23 Jul 2026 11:45:38
Mourinho likes his CF a bit bigger than Mbappe, so I wouldn't rule a move out completely. RM needs to send a toe--the-line-message to the huge egos in the squad. My money would have been on Vini to be sacrificed, but Mbappe would do just as well.

0

22 Jul 2026 21:04:34
Reds,

We’ve made contact with Maghnes Akliouche’s representatives to assess whether there was any realistic opportunity there.

The feedback has been pretty clear: his priority is a move to PSG, and that’s the direction he’s pushing for.

On that basis, I’d safely rule Liverpool out of the race unless something changes significantly.

As things stand, discussions with Bradley Barcola’s camp are continuing. There’s still work to do, but I can see a bid made soon.

17

22 Jul 2026 22:39:02
I give you all my word, Akliouche will most definitely be at Anfield on Sunday, August 09, 14:30 Kick Off when Liverpool play their first Anfield pre-season game versus Monaco, but playing for which side?

Of course some other club may sign him first?

3

22 Jul 2026 22:43:15
You're very definitive in your statement. I believe Robbo and John Barnes are God. We want Diomande, and I don't think we get Barcola unless we sell Gapko.

1

22 Jul 2026 23:55:17
Barcola definitely is the number 1 target now. I know there are a couple of ITKs, like John Barnes is God and Robbo, who are insisting on Diomande, but let's be real, all the mainstream journos + the best PSG ITKs (who are genuinely credible) have insisted he prefers PSG and that he will end up there.

Barcola, they all point out, is the leading target for Liverpool.

2

23 Jul 2026 00:29:02
Can I just clarify @Pulv, I'm not an ITK, have never confessed to be one, and, furthermore, have previously stated I'm not.

Furthermore, Robbo is an excellent one at that. Although my information does not come from the same sources as his in this case.

Believe Robbo over me all day long, I would suggest - I know I would.

Further still, PSG will sign Akliouche, and that will definitively end any speculation that they will sign Diomande.

Prior to this signing, PSG have already pulled out of attempting to sign Diomande specifically because of cost.

Diomande is still the number one target for Liverpool from what I've been told, and, although there are difficulties, things are progressing. Personally, I'm certain we will sign him.

We will not sign Barcola, I can definitively (in my opinion) state that.

Over and out.

10

23 Jul 2026 00:32:37
We'd obviously buy Barcola before selling Gakpo.
The club would lose all leverage in negotiations otherwise, as they would desperately need to replace the outgoing player with an already short front line.

2

23 Jul 2026 00:34:49
And, just to clarify, I have never stated he doesn't prefer PSG. He isn't going to PSG because they don't prefer him.

I don't mind being dirty 2nds, in this case.

Over and out.

4

23 Jul 2026 00:42:20
So just to clarify Barnsey, you're NOT ITK🤷

3

23 Jul 2026 06:18:27
Barnesy is clarifying he's not ITK, just a one-time ITK because of this insider information. So he's an OOITK.

Over and out.

One time.

Two time.

4

23 Jul 2026 06:20:50
I can clarify that I am NOT an ITK @Boom

For me, an ITK is someone who consistently recieves information from quality sources and the majority of their rumours / information turns out to be correct. Furthermore, even if that information doesn't come to fruition, an ITK still has those contacts who feeds them accurate information direct from someone attached to the club. As with all 'rumours', at the time of post, their information is accurate and up to date. This does not mean that particular 'rumour' is a 100% certainty, nor that it is wrong because it differs from another posters information; transfers and negotiations are extremely fluid and can change at any given time.

Although I've been an avid lurker for some years, I have posted very little on here, until now, so I have no proven authority of the rumours / speculation I provide. I receive certain information, and I pass that on accompanied by my OPINION as to what I believe the outcome will be.

Take me with a pinch of salt.

I suggest people listen to ITK's that consistently provide quality rumours on transfers with a proven track record, such as the eds, Carra, Robbo, VG, Fields, Flanders etl. All the others are pale imitations - myself included.

I enjoy providing information of what I know, and if those rumours happen to come good, then great. I will never just copy and paste information from sm or plagiarise other people's posts. That should be called out, imo, but done in the correct way without attempting to bully or humiliate that poster.

This community should be enjoyed for what it is, all things LFC, and if the odd transfer rumours comes good, all the better.

Over and out.

8

23 Jul 2026 06:36:33
We need to move on from Diomande. Way too expensive and really untested, huge potential obviously. PSG pulling out should be a clear sign that a reality check is needed on the deal being quoted.

1

23 Jul 2026 07:19:13
Thank God, interesting, and that supports what Robbo and Racey LFC have said. Interesting that Carra and Grizz seem to have different information... I reckon Diomande is plan A and Barcola is plan B... meaning all the itk are sort of right as all options are potentially viable.

2

23 Jul 2026 08:13:46
@John Barnes is God. I respect the opinion piece, my friend. My reason for the "itk" shouts is purely through your language "from what I've been told", etc. Robbo is certainly reliable, but so is Carra, VG, the Fields, who have all stated Diomande is off for now.

Let alone the big hitters - Fabrizio, Ben Jacobs, Ornstein, etc. By all accounts, Liverpool could may be funding Diomande to PSG when we buy Barcola, who seems to be a lot more likely atm. I'm happy to be positively suprised, but I highly doubt Diomande to Liverpool is still on.

1

23 Jul 2026 08:34:10
Barnesy, keep the info coming, all info is good,
I really don't give a s*** whether you or anyone else is itk or not itk.
It's good to read all the "rumours".

5

23 Jul 2026 08:51:35
I do not understand why we would pay £120m for Barcola, who as far as I can tell is basically the same sort of player as Gakpo, except operating in a league where most of the opposition is less strong, which flatters his numbers.
He doesn't seem to be anything like the sort of player we need, not least he prefers the wrong wing!
This smacks very much to me of desperation if wanting to sign a high profile player even if not the right one.

Our years of success were built on bringing in players who were good but not the biggest signings, and then making a team out of them. It's a team sport, not an individual sport. The best team is not the best player in every position, it is about the collective.
Unless someone can explain how Barcola makes Wirtz, Isak, Ngumoha, Gakpo, Szoboszlai, etc better, I think it would be madness.

1

23 Jul 2026 09:24:53
I'm not ITK, but I would like to share my opinions here. We know for sure that we need a Salah replacement, not a Gakpo replacement. I know Gakpo could have done better, but let's not forget that Iraola is a bit like Klopp, who can mould and shape players into world class players. I don't think we should discount any of the existing players because of how they performed under Slot last season.

Bear in mind, Bournemouth continued to do well after selling their best players, and that says a lot about Iraola.

So, based on logic, we should be looking for someone to fill Salah's position, which is why Diamonde is being sought after. If PSG pulls out of the race, maybe we'll get Diamonde. Either that, or we'll walk away, and he will remain at RB for another season.

1

23 Jul 2026 09:31:25
And respect right back at you @pulv. ✌️

I hear certain tit bits, that's all. So I simply share and accompany with my own take.

I respect all posters whose information is genuinely theirs, whether that turns out to be correct, or not.

And the fun part is to see which 'rumours' turn into actual signings. I know we all want what is best for our club, and long may this forum continue.

Again, I appreciate your take on rumours, whether mine differs or not. All I can say is I genuinely don't believe we are funding PSG's attempt to sign Barcola.

Simply because I don't believe we will sign Barcola. He is not the player we need, or should be touching with a bargepole - and certainly not for anything like 120m. If we were to pay that on a player who doesn't play right wing (and he doesn't as competently as the left), we would have koboshed the whole fee on Diomande, who is a far better fit for what we require, fully proven track record or not.

And from what I hear, I genuinely believe PSG have walked, permanently, from the Diomande deal.

Over and out.

2

22 Jul 2026 20:17:02
Anyone not buying the Akliouche rumours, feels like showing an interest since PSG are interested to force their hand on the Diomande deal.

Left footed winger who lacks threatening pace, would be better off keeping Elliot and playing him in that's the case.

8

22 Jul 2026 23:20:02
I have no idea, but I like the idea of going for the next Barcola, next Doue...

2

22 Jul 2026 23:34:55
Agree, rather play Elliott than buy an expensive rw who's not fast.

3

23 Jul 2026 00:43:21
We have zero power to force PSG's hand; they hold all the cards. I've no idea why people think this is something similar to the Isak/Ekitike situation. The reality is that we are very much Newcastle this time round.

9

23 Jul 2026 01:54:51
That's nonsense, Chewy. Liverpool are a much bigger and more historic club than PSG. For a start, we've been winning trophies for 78 years longer than they have. We were filling Anfield with adoring fans and our trophy room with silverware before they even existed.

PSG were more successful last season and have a better team than us at present, but don't confuse that with the size, history and the pull of the clubs themselves.

I don't know why some fans have an inferiority complex, we are as big as any club in the world and are more successful than all but a handful.

12

23 Jul 2026 02:41:39
@Rio, Perhaps players would like to live in Paris?

8

23 Jul 2026 04:04:18
I fail to see how Akliouche can be the next Barcola, Doue etc when he is already 24 years old? It's an extremely underwhelming one for me.

4

23 Jul 2026 06:42:58
Bigger, historic club, yes. But PSG are the best club in the world, Champions League holders, have some of the most exciting players in the world there, and are based in (no surprise) Paris.

For many young players, PSG would be a bigger draw than Liverpool, and they are entitled to their own, wrong opinion!!

4

23 Jul 2026 10:12:38
I'm sure some would prefer to live in Paris, but that's got nothing to do with the clubs, that's just geography. There would also be some who would prefer to play in the PL rather than the French league because it's the best league in the world.

These are all just personal preferences.

My point is, we should not feel intimidated or inferior to PSG. They have a good team at the moment, but they have nothing like our fanbase or history.

They were only founded in 1970. We'd already existed for nearly 8 decades before they even kicked a ball.

We've won the CL 6 times to their 2. We were winning European Cups when they were still playing Sunday league pub football!

A couple of decent seasons doesn't suddenly make them bigger and better than everyone else.

1

22 Jul 2026 19:26:27
We remain locked in talks with PSG for Barcola.

We have moved on from Diomande.

We enquired about Akliouche early in the summer and that was about it.

We've been looking at a Spanish Right back but can't get a name. Will keep pushing.

Cheers.

Djimi.

20

22 Jul 2026 20:05:56
I love this, some ITKs that are very reliable saying one thing, other reliable ITKs saying another, I'm genuinely excited to see what pans out. :)

13

22 Jul 2026 20:22:47
I completely respect the poster's views.

However, we have not moved on from Diomande. He is the priority target. If a deal can be done, it will be done. Personally, I'm certain it will.

We won't be signing Barcola.

And there is nothing in the rumours about Akliouche.

Over and out.

13

22 Jul 2026 20:35:04
A Spanish rb called Carvajal?

1

22 Jul 2026 20:48:34
Spanish RB is obvious- Arnau Martinez.

4

22 Jul 2026 21:00:17
The Spanish RB in question is El Trente.

20

22 Jul 2026 21:49:59
El 🐀... nah, just kidding I'd take him back in a heart beat. People make mistakes

5

22 Jul 2026 21:53:40
Djimi Traore. What a legend lol.

4

22 Jul 2026 22:10:52
I enjoy the ITK style.

Especially the wannabe ITKs who just summarise what others say, sprinkle a bit of NewsNow and then try to establish their own rep!

Oh Ed002, we miss you 😢

17

22 Jul 2026 22:11:34
Everyone's on the Carra spacing theme and trademarking a sign off these days.
I didn't like a lot of Ed002's mannerisms and some of his responses were outright rude, but god I don't half miss him on here.

18

22 Jul 2026 22:19:48
Leave El Twato in Spain.

6

22 Jul 2026 22:23:45
Eh, Westwood, what if all these mimics are all just Carra with different accounts? 😂

9

22 Jul 2026 22:28:37
Is this word you've heard, Djimi? Or seen online?

I can't help but feel the Akiouche link is to try and push PSG into making a move so we can have a shot at Barcola, but who knows.

PS I don't blame you any more, Djimi, but it's still a cracker of a song. 😂 Modern fans probably think my username is related to Adama Traore!

0

22 Jul 2026 22:41:26
Yeah ed002 was a bit much sometimes.

2

22 Jul 2026 23:20:41
Is the Spanish RB Trente?

0

23 Jul 2026 00:45:32
Thefields, don't do that to me, I'm far too open to conspiracy theories.

1

23 Jul 2026 00:47:31
May I throw out a thought? This time last year Carra said we were working on signing Isak. Sounded crazy at the time - but it happened.

Not a single journalist gave the story currency until Isak went on strike. I think we are extremely lucky to have Carra, Ned and Robbo's intel here.

4

23 Jul 2026 02:43:43
I'm willing to bet that Diomande is an expert at the hokey-cokey... in, out, in, out, sprinkle in some doubt....

0

23 Jul 2026 08:33:56
I heard a rumour, (that's a clue that it was from one of Banananarama but I can't say which one apart from she used to walk out with the famous one out of Wham!) that Trent Alexander Arnold has been learning English so a return is on the cards.
He's not very good, but he's been watching loads of Mind Your Language videos to improve. It'll probably be the season after next season when he's fluent enough to come home, mind.
But, fret ye not, because Doni Iraola was a right back, is fluent in English and Spanish, and reckons he can do a better job than the eight right backs we used last season until The Prodigal Son (or Hijo) returns.

Doni has also said that he doesn't want TAA back until he has learnt to spell his surname correctly. He can make allowances for the fans of his new club misspelling his name, because of Brexit and the BBC pulling the plug on El Dorado, but he won't tolerate it from a fellow Spaniard even though he's a Basque, himself.

Illia Zabarnyi was offered to Liverpool a while ago as I previously stated a month or so back.

He could be made a pawn in all the PSG & LFC madness.

Let’s see.

Sorry for pestering the timeline.

Ta.

Thanks Cara, did we not want to take Zarbanyi at the time? Or even now, I would have thought he would be a good fit for us, mate. Thanks.

22 Jul 2026 19:35:00
Pester away, Carra. Your posts are always looked for before anyone else's.

6

22 Jul 2026 19:45:14
Carry on Carra. King Pawn. Let's see if it's sweet or sour.

I'll get my coat.

7

22 Jul 2026 19:55:53
Cheers, Fields and Carra. I do love to see your posts. Zabarnyni would be a steal. Diomande, imo, apart from the noise, would be an unreal signing. I don't get the armchair critics.

22 Jul 2026 19:59:06
King pawn Carra-y.

I'll grab my coat, spectacles and testicles.

No problem, Carra. If I'm being honest, I normally scroll down this page looking for your, VG, the Fields & Stupid sexy Flanders posts.

Carry on, Carra... I think there's a film to be made here. 🤔

22 Jul 2026 21:10:39
He'd be my most wanted signing of all mentioned.

Cheers, Carra, appreciate the info as always.

Zabarnyi loan with fixed fee next year, and Diomande and Barcola this summer, with Gakpo and Mac Allister the major movers, from us funding a large chunk of it. Is what I've heard is the plan. I don't claim to be itk, and the few different people I've heard this from get snippets here and there, but they have been consistent with their snippets, I must say, but they aren't what you would call 100% itk either, so this is more of a rumour, and, seen as it's a rumour site, I thought I'd share.

One of my snippet guys is claiming Bouaddi is the target, but unless he is targeted by another club seriously this year, Liverpool would happily leave him until next summer, but will jump in to action if needed, and the other lad I know well seems convinced Jones is staying and Endo will depart along with Mac Allister, and one of Mconnel or Bajetic to be loaned out with the other staying to provide cover, with Nyoni loaned out to gain some big boy football minutes, and no midfield option will be signed with the onus on attack and defence.

Would be very happy with him. Upgrade on Konate. Virg, Zabarnyi, Jacquet, Gomez and Leoni look like really good depth on paper.

What Cantremember said.

Hope we get him. Definitely need an experienced CB and this guy has the plus of having already played in the EPL, would be a perfect signing.

22 Jul 2026 23:45:33
Thanks, Carra - would be a great signing if we could get him.

There are a lot of rumours and whispers going around at the moment in regards to signings. Most of which are because we haven't done much business so far. I would take most rumours being reported by click bait and social media view farmers with a pinch of salt.

I know we have bid for Barcola but it's expected to be rejected. If it hasn't already.

Diomande, I've heard both we are still interested and we are not.

A fair amount of work was put into it, so it wouldn't be surprising if we were.

I've heard about 15 different names being linked for midfield, all seem to have a similar profile of a sitting midfield that are either playmakers or ball winners. Nothing concrete to go off tho, so no names.

Some outlandish ones as well like Vini Jr. 😂

Cheers, Fields. 👍🏻

Thanks for the info @ Thefields & Carra, keep up the good work, very much appreciated.

Much appreciated, Thefields.
Keep em coming.

Brilliant, TF, thanks a million. 👍

3

22 Jul 2026 19:45:36
Thanks, Fields.

I'm going to rename him Schrodinger Diomande.

13

22 Jul 2026 20:20:46
Vini Jr links are outlandish, but it's absolutely not something Liverpool categorically ruled out immediately. His contract situation at Madrid was reviewed, but ultimately the club opted to carry interest no further. No chance of it happening, but again, due diligence.

Long, long, long time since I've posted, but still an avid follower.
However, I have re-registered (hence the 2..) just to tip my hat to Ron. Schrodinger Diomande? Class.

22 Jul 2026 21:37:17
Cheers, TF.

22 Jul 2026 21:40:37
We should try to get Vini on a free next summer... ruffle a few. Madrid Feathers.

22 Jul 2026 21:53:17
Wow Ben, that is a compliment indeed, to inspire a re-registration. 😃

All gratefully received and please keep posting. 😉👍

VG, it was not something I expected to us of even entertained tbh. Outside of us, this window has been absolute madness from a work perspective. 😂

22 Jul 2026 22:46:40
Cheers TF, cheers VG.

22 Jul 2026 23:54:25
Vini Jnr won't be moving to Liverpool. He has absolutely no interest in moving to the Premier League.

More so Madrid would be willing to sell, despite what's said publicly about him being unsellable, they would actually be very willing at about 100m or so.

23 Jul 2026 11:01:06
Schrodinger Diomande is pure genius, Ron.
