Since Norwich the Scouting Department have identified 3 Goal Keeping options as follows first is an Italian called Danny De Ghost he will make a Great "GHOULkeeper" one day!

Second is a Croatian surnamed "DRACULA" but he is frightened of "CROSSES"?

Next name on the list is an Englishman by the name of "Johnnie DUREX" he never misses a Shot!

P. S. Italian Football site says Lovren going to Roma for 20 Million Euros (Circa £18.7 Million) that will be another pudding gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the sound of that Englishman. As long as he doesn't break at a crucial time.

i don't want Lovren to go. Where else could you get a 3rd or 4th choice centre back as good.
Granted, he makes errors but when playing well he's pretty good.

{Ed025's Note - its a pity he only plays well every preston guild wiltsire.. :)

We aren't selling Lovren surely? Matip hasn't signed a new deal and can leave on a free next July.

Lovren wasn't even in the match day squad, it would be nice to have him as a 4th choice but is it realistic? He must be on big wages and a youngster could have the 4th choice role.

{Ed002's Note - One of a number of higher profile players who could yet move from the leading sides:
Arsenal - Shkodran Mustafi (CB) (anywhere)
Chelsea - Davide Zappacosta (RWB) (Roma are keen at the right price, Inter opted for Lazaro instead, Seville is another option) and Tiemoue Bakayoko (CM) (Galatasaray would like to take him on loan – Chelsea are seeking a loan with an obligation to buy – residual interest from Germany)
Liverpool - Devan Lovren (CB) (Roma may offer a way out – game time is the only issue and they will look to a loan with a commitment to buy) and Ryan Kent (LW) (Rangers want him on loan and Liverpool want to sell)
Manchester City – Eliaquim Mangala (CB) (anywhere)
Manchester United - Alexis Sanchez (LW/F) (Roma will offer to take him on loan with option to buy but want MU to waive loan fee and pay a significant portion of the wages – Inter and any other side would also want a similar deal) and MU will turn down an offer for Paul Pogba (CM) forcing him to stay at the club
Tottenham Hotspur – Christian Eriksen (AM) (Inter could be tempted if the deal is right – as could Atletico Madrid but he is not first choice for them) and Victor Wanyama (DM) (Celtic would be the obvious solution)
}

For me I hope we can keep hold of Lovren.

11 Aug 2019 14:49:34
ed 25 surely you would have him playing for the toffees.
Got to be better than, er umm. Just who do you have in that position?

{Ed025's Note - we have keane and mina at the moment wiltshire...and lets be honest, the croatian cabbage is not getting in before any of them mate..

11 Aug 2019 18:27:17
He wasnt on the bench for 1 game. The season is very long and he will play a lot of games!

11 Aug 2019 21:21:01
Ed25, Lovs is better than both of them combined. Why? Facts, please. Let's see either of your cabbages (Mina and Keane) shut down CR7 in the CL final and shut down every single CF either of them came up against in the WC (including Harry Kane, Aguero, Giroud etc) all the way to the final, the way Lovs did for Liverpool and Croatia successfully. By the way, I posted my opinion supported by empirical facts and evidence. What you posted was just well, a blue-tinted view of the world, where only you and the rest of your bitters exist. Peace.

{Ed025's Note - that is just your red tinted opinion in afraid, yes hes had some good games but he has also been a liability and is an accident waiting to happen, the thing that gets me is that you actually know it but just cant admit that a player who wears the anfield red is anything less than a football god, you are actually a very good poster but can spoil your reputation at times with extreme biased views and intolerance to other peoples views on players and their level of ability, no offence intended my friend..

I wouldn't like to see him leave as he's got so much experience and always gives his all, shows to be a strong character and good to have in our squad. Not bothered he didn't make the squad, matip was the obvious choice and no need to include 2 CBs on bench at home to Norwich.

If he wants to leave for first team football then I'd wish him the best but I hope he wants to stay and play his part with us. Leaving only 3 first team CBs with a couple of 17 yr olds as next in line would be an unnecessary risk to make at this stage.

Ed25, stop projecting your views onto me and accusing me of the very thing that you are also doing. I posted an opinion based on facts. You are the one projecting blue tinted view, something that is deluding you into believing that Lovs is a cabbage and Keane and Mina are PL quality.
Fact: Lovs has not had "some good games", he has had many good to very good games since Klopp came in and esp. with VVD next to him, which helps him just focus on doing his job. He had a blinder of a CL final shutting down CR7 (something I don't see your lot of CB's ever doing) and getting an assist for Mane's equalizer.

Here's a nice idea. How about you get back to me when you blue cabbage CB's achieved all the accolades I put in my last comment, that Lovren actually achieved and then we can discuss? Until then, have fun with your cabbage-patched lot. 40m for Iwobi? Now that is even funnier than the 80m Utd paid for Maguire.

{Ed025's Note - im not saying that kean and mina are world beaters, just that in my view that they are better than lovren, you really need to curb your enthusiasm redwolf, your replies are coming across as condescending and aggressive, bullying tactics wont wash with me im afraid and its not the first time this has been leveled in your direction, i like a good debate but there is a line...and your very close to crossing it..
