Hi Ed, if you have time how do you think Fabinho was settled in the premiership? Seems to me that he is key to our system at the minute and has shown a good range of passing as well as having a physical side to his game. How do you think he compared to other top players in this position?

{Ed001's Note - there is only really Fernandinho that plays the same role and there is no comparison as they play it totally differently. Both excellent in their own way, but Fabs often gets pulled up and free kicks given for clean tackles while Fernandinho could castrate someone with a rusty hacksaw and the ref would wave play on. So how can you compare the two?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Love your reply eds😂.

{Ed001's Note - sadly it's true. It is one rule for City and another for the rest of us. They are allowed to put players in opposition walls, even though they are meant to be a metre away, but they had two disrupting the end of the Watford wall. Irrelevant to the result but that is all the more reason for the laws of the game to be enforced fairly! Then you have Chelsea having a goal ruled out for offside yesterday even though the offside was not in the current phase of play, but Man City's opening game saw their first goal given despite a blatant foul, that the ref missed, by a City player to win possession as they said that it was in a previous phase of play so VAR could not look at it. So you obviously have different rules for City.}

Cheers for the reply mate! Maybe don't watch enough of city but think I'd rather have fabs in the team. Looking like a great signing for us then, feels like just yesterday I was arguing with ed25 that he was no lemon lol.

{Ed001's Note - Fabs is a better passer and younger, I would not swap them that is for sure.}

He struggled against Chelsea in the super cup, but I thought he had a good game yesterday and although partly at fault for the goal I think one of the CBS should have made more effort to close Kante down. And rather than blame anyone I'd rather give the credit to Kante for scoring a great goal.

Yeah Kante was the only one who stood out for me, the lad is bloody brilliant.

Castrate someone nearly choked reading that 😭😂.

{Ed001's Note - so long as you weren't choking on the bits that were removed?}

What’s Ed025 thoughts on Fabs? Do you agree mate or are you still on the fence with him?

{Ed025's Note - i fell off that fence a while back virgil, i watched quite a bit of him at monaco and thought he would struggle in the EPL, when he first came it looked like i would be right but i have to say he has done very well and is in fact liverpools best midfielder....not that he has much competition with the likes of hendo and gini though mate.. :)

Lol he is fast becoming our most important midfield Ed025, top draw. You can’t resist a little dig though mate lol I love it. Our midfield ain’t doing to bad judging by the first six games mate? You are blessed with world class at the Ev of course, Delph, Davies, Sig are setting the league on 🔥 😂.

{Ed025's Note - we are that bad that even jordan henderson would get on our bench virgil, your midfield does work hard though mate and as a defensive unit are second to none..

23 Sep 2019 22:15:33
Ed25, they work hard and are defensively sound cos that is what Klopp demands of them. This is not rocket science. Klopp's midfield is there to press, harry, win the ball up high and blitz the oppo. from there. It is not there to create and thread passes the same way KdB, Dave Silva or Cou does. As for your lot, I told you that signing duds like Delph, Iwobi and Gomes would do you in. You're welcome.

{Ed025's Note - i totally agree with the first half of that redwolf, klopp has a system and its working perfectly, the last bit i will deem to be upyourselfship, who died and made you an authority on everton signings and player ability?...or football in general come to that?, you have an opinion and thats it im afraid mate and your relevance is the same as every other poster..
