He's one of the most important members of the squad. Look at taa, it was milly who put his arm round the lad and steered him through his early days in the squad. I was dubious when we signed him, I've never been so wrong about a signing.

You know what I love about Milner, and it’s the same with Gini Wijnaldum in that midfield. He’s always there when we need him. They are both never injured! We have some great players In that midfield and some who are regarded as better options. But none can be relied on for fitness like James Milner and Gini. I feel This is very underrated, and I think Liverpool will miss them when they go.

I think (or at least very much hope) Milner does know that the fans love him, Barry. How many times has he just cracked on with his job even when played out of position? He is an absolute inspiration and I think his importance to the growth of this Liverpool team the past few seasons cannot be underestimated.

The lad has played over 200 games for us since he 5/ 6 years ago. I would struggle to think of many games in which he really let us down. Always performs at least at a 6/ 10.
