Not getting peeps hopes up here but Thiago has resumed training. not saying he ahead of schedule to return or anything (club expected January) but atleast there some kinda good news on injury front. Never thought I would say this but might not be a forgone conclusion he slots straight into the starting 11 a certain Mr Jones will have a few things to say and I for one don't think you replace a man in form out of your starting 11.

OP, it is going to take time for Thiago to get back playing again. He should by no means be rushed back and I don’t care what is happening. He needs to fully recover, get fit and the train consistently before being considered for selection, IMO.

Thiago returning and any of the other injured will have to earn their places in the team but what it will do will allow us to have game changers on the bench and rotate. Wiji has played a lot of football this season and Thiago coming back offers us a world class option to either play alongside him and Hendo or to rotate with them. Thiago is the first world class player we have signed in god knows how many years. The rest became world class with us. Thiago will be a big player this season and I think he will help others step up another level and compliment their game. Especially our 4 forwards.

He'll probably start getting rotated in once he's ready because of the busy schedule and the fact that Gini, Hendo and Jones haven't had too many rests in the past six weeks.

If his form is good enough he may displace one of them as first choice. I certainly think he would've been very useful against Fulham in the second half - a team playing a low block on a small pitch.

But it says a lot how well our lads are playing that we don't have a pressing need for Thiago at this moment.
